Kantar Media National TV Ratings (June 25-26) - ‘Apoy Sa Dagat’ gets better ratings

Apoy Sa Dagat has been getting better ratings compared to last week. The series is ending in two weeks and the development of the story became more interesting. Based on Kantar Media’s data, the Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban starrer got 20.7% national rating on Tuesday, June 25, and 21.6% on Wednesday, June 26. It ranked fourth on primetime on both days.

UAAP Season 76 opens June 29

The season 76 of University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) will have its opening ceremonies on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Mall of Asia Arena. Hosted by Adamson University (AdU), the ceremonies will start at 12:30 PM. Dancers from Adamson and other member schools will give a grand production number to open the season. Julia Barretto topbills ‘Wansapanataym’ special with Xyriel and Zaijian

Beginning this Saturday, June 29, Julia Barretto will star in Wansapanataym Presents Petrang Paminta together with child stars Zaijian Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat. The Wansapanataym special is the TV remake of Pablo S. Gomez’s graphic novel titled Petrang Paminta which was published in the late 1960s in United Komiks. Directed by box-office director Wenn V. Deramas, the story revolves around Petra (Julia) and Aya (Xyriel) who are working in the pepper farm owned by their cruel aunt. A dwarf named Pampam (Zaijian) begins to help the sisters secretly because of pity and his special admiration for Petra. The passionate drama series, as it is tagged, used to normally rank fourth in the primetime Top 10. That was when the top-rating Ina Kapatid Anak , which aired in a timeslot before the Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban starrer, was still on.

Kantar Media National TV Ratings (June 15-16) - ‘The Voice Of The Philippines’ starts strong

The pilot episode of The Voice Of The Philippines was much-watched based on the data by Kantar Media. On Saturday, the newest ABS-CBN reality singing show ranked second with 30.5% national rating, while it ranked first on Sunday with 27.7%. Meanwhile, Eat Bulaga! was the number 1 daytime program on Saturday, beating its rival noontime show It’s Showtime . The Kapuso show got 15.6% national rating, 1.4% higher than the Kapamilya program which only ot 14.2%.

Indie actor Marco Morales is now wanted by the police for robbing several branches of a motel in Metro Manila. The name in his driver’s license as shown in the Bandila report was Marco Gonzaga Saca, and although his Wikipedia page says his real name is Marco Paolo Z. Morales, the photo in the license was unmistakably his.

‘Sunday All Stars’ premieres June 16, teams revealed

GMA-7’s new Sunday musical variety show Sunday All Stars premieres tomorrow, June 16th. It’s different from the previous show Party Pilipinas in a way that this one’s a competition among four teams where viewers can also participate on who wins through text voting. The four teams are named Tropang Trending, Insta Gang, Ligang iLike, and Tweet Hearts.
