Shortlisted movies for 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (2013)

Fifteen movies are shortlisted for the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (2013).

Star Cinema has three titles in the shortlist - the horror movie Pagpag topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, the movie version of the hit daytime romantic comedy Be Careful With My Heart, and the Vice Ganda and Maricel Soriano starrer Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy which is a co-production with Viva Films.

Meanwhile, Kuratong Baleleng which was supposed to be shown last year but was postponed due to issues with the title, is in the list with a new title, Sa Ngalan Ng Ama, Ina At Mga Anak. Quite long, no? And sounds like the hit primetime drama Ina Kapatid Anak, but it is in no way a drama. Daniel Padilla is also in this movie.

Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto team up for the movie Torky And My Little Bossing, a co-production of OctoArts, MZET, APT and Kris Aquino Productions. Could the role of “my little bossing” be played by Kris’ youngest son Bimby? The actress-host once said that the kid will be making an acting debut in a possible MMFF entry this year.
