Tom Cruise returns as the Impossible Missions Force (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt in the fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible film series titled Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol . Andi Eigenmann is indeed pregnant! That's according to her mom, award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose , in an interview with ABS-CBN 's TV Patrol on June 29, 2011. Television fantasy series with kids as main characters seem to be the trend these days, and TV5 is jumping in on the bandwagon via their upcoming fantaserye titled Bangis . Bangis is a TV adaptation of Carlo J. Caparas' komiks novel Matatalim na Pangil sa Gubat which features a giant prehistoric creature that resembles a crocodile. Despite his frightening appearance, the creature actually thinks and feels like a human being. Child actors BJ Go, Gerald Pesigan, and Junyka Santarin are in this series. BJ plays the adventurous and caring best friend of Bangis, while Gerald is the town's kid bully. Junyka, on the other hand, will play BJ's friend and daughter of the main villain Don Serpente played by Yul Servo. Bangis also marks Oyo Boy Sotto 's return to primetime television. Ovation Productions is bringing back American Idol 7 runner-up David Archuleta live in Manila for a solo concert on July 18, 2011, 8 PM, at the Araneta Coliseum. Basketball superstar Kobe Bryant will visit Manila for the third time this July 13, 2011. It's the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard's first stop for his five-city Asian tour sponsored by Nike. Kobe Bryant, 32, will begin his one-day visit with a short show at Nike Park, The Fort at 3:00 PM. He will then be at the Araneta Coliseum for the elite boot camp at 5:00 PM. Marcelito Pomoy was declared champion of ABS-CBN 's Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 held June 26, 2011 at the Araneta Coliseum. He won P2 million in cash prize by getting 19.56% of votes, the highest among the 14 finalists. Marcelito Pomoy wowed the audience with his performance last June 25th. He sang The Prayer , an Andrea Bocelli and Celin Dion original duet. He did both the male and female parts so well that you'd think it was a real woman singing the female parts. First runner-up was the tap dancing Mata brothers collectively known as the Happy Feet . They got 18.22% of votes, just 1.34% short from Marcelito's. Landing in the third spot was Freestylers , a dance act from Calamba, Laguna. They got 9.46% of the total votes, so far from what Happy Feet got. There's really nothing like a Kris Aquino talk show, that's why ABS-CBN is bringing back the Queen of All Media on morning television via Kris TV starting tomorrow, June 27th, at 9:30 AM. Kris TV is a reboot of Kris Aquino's Today with Kris , which aired on the Kapamilya network from 1996 to 2011. Kris, though, tweeted that the production team aims to make it more informative, fun, and relevant to today's happenings. The teaser to tomorrow's episode shows the politician Chiz Escudero as guest. The politician does random things like a little carpentry and cooking, but of course they also get to sit down for a one-on-one interview. Kris TV airs before Showtime to keep you company while preparing lunch or doing the laundry perhaps. Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment release the trailer of Footloose , a remake of the 1984 film of the same title. Starring Kenny Wormald , Julianne Hough , and Dennis Quaid , the movie is showing October 14th in the US and and October 26th in Manila. Synopsis: Ren MacCormack (Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. I Dare You: The Kapamilya Challenge is a new reality show from ABS-CBN that will challenge the ability and courage of celebrities to take on real life roles of an ordinary person. To be hosted by Jericho Rosales , Iya Villania , and Melai Cantiveros , the show reminds me of GMA News TV's Day-Off where the hosts take on blue collar jobs for a day. I Dare You: The Kapamilya Challenge is the Philippine franchise of AXN's I Dare You: The Ultimate Challenge . News about this new show broke out on the latter part of 2010, and a teaser (featuring Kim Chiu ) has been shown as early as December last year. A newer teaser, though, shows more Kapamilya stars like Gab Valenciano , Vice Ganda , Jason Abalos , and Ryan Bang , among others. Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista are reportedly not in good terms as of late. There are speculations, though, that this rumor was just made up to make people talk more about Temptation Island which is showing July 6th. But the speculations that it was just a publicity stunt were somehow proved wrong when Heart's mother reportedly shouted angrily at Marian at the Manila airport while the actresses were on their way home from a shooting in Ilocos Norte last June 13th. Cecile Ongpauco, Heart's mother, allegedly even brought bodyguards for Heart, and when the Kapuso Primetime Queen tried to approach Heart to say goodbye, the mother angrily shouted, "Stay away from my daughter!" not knowing that the Temptation Island actresses have patched things up even before they left Ilocos Norte. Mr. and Ms. Ecotourism Philippines – The Mossimo Bikini Summit 2011 finals was held June 18, 2011 at Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas. Kevin Anthony Donnelly and Janelle Olafson were declared winners besting the remaining 14 male and 14 female candidates. Filipino-Scottish Kevin Donnelly is 18 years old and grew up in Australia. If he looks familiar to you, it's because he, with other candidates, promoted the pageant in ABS-CBN 's Showtime a few weeks back. Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa has a new trailer out. Written and directed by Alvin Yapan , the movie stars Paulo Avelino , Rocco Nacino , and Jean Garcia . The movie is scheduled to be shown on July 15, 2011 as an official entry to the 7th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. Aside from the CCP, Greenbelt 3 is added this year as another screening venue for the festival. Awards night will be held at the CCP on July 24, 2011 at 7 PM. Every Twilight fan is excited with the coming of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 much so because Bella ( Kristen Stewart ) and Edward's ( Robert Pattinson ) wedding will take place in the said movie. Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the final trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 . which is showing July 15, 2011 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D. Although fans of the series are much excited to see this final Harry Potter film, the question is, would it really be the last? If you base it on the publication of the book, you would think that it is the last considering that it had been 5 years since the last book was published. GMA-7 's noontime show Eat Bulaga was so lucky that Miley Cyrus dropped by their studio yesterday, June 16, 2011, to promote her one-night-only Manila concert. Miley is in Manila as part of her tour. She will be performing tonight, June 17, 2011, at the Mall of Asia concert grounds. Her Filipino fans are so lucky because the Philippines is the only Asian country that is included in the singer's tour. When asked by Pia Guanio why she chose our country, Miley said, "Just because of the fans, you know. They've been asking me to come here." The studio audience, who all seemed to be Miley fans, was wild with excitement and was chanting Miley's name almost the whole time. I'm sure it would be many times as much during her actual concert tonight. ABS-CBN has recently acquired exclusive rights to 13 Mars Ravelo titles, according to a tweet by Eric John Salut, AdProm Head of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and Editorial Consultant of ABS-CBN Interactive. Mars Ravelo was a graphic novelist whose works were so popular during the komiks days. Most popular of his characters are Darna, Captain Barbell, and Dyesebel, stories of which are adapted into movies and television series numerous times. These three titles had been popularly linked to GMA-7 . Darna had been adapted into a tv series twice by the Kapuso network – the first one with Angel Locsin , and the second one with Marian Rivera . Marian also starred in the network's adaptation of Dyesebel. Also, GMA-7 is currently showing its second tv adaptation of Captain Barbell with Richard Gutierrez in the title role. Nadine Samonte , one of the stars of the recently-concluded GMA-7 afternoon soap My Lover, My Wife , is rumored to be transferring network after not renewing her contract with her mother studio. Samonte, who was discovered when she joined the Kapuso network's StarStruck , is reportedly being offered lead roles in major soap operas by TV5 and ABS-CBN – the Kapatid network with The Sisters and the Kapamilya network with the remake of hit 90s teleserye Esperanza . Originally played by Judy Ann Santos , the role of Esperanza is a bigger opportunity for Nadine to showcase her acting capabilities. And not only that, the rumored leading man would be no less than Piolo Pascual ! How could she say no to that? According to reports, Piolo will reprise the role originally played by Wowie De Guzman. Piolo had also been part of the original Esperanza . He played the role of Bryan and it actually started the Judy Ann-Piolo loveteam.

Boxing superstar and Sarangani congressman Manny Pacquiao is said to have bought a multi-million peso mansion in a place where only multi-millionaires live – Forbes Park in Makati. Eric Pineda, Pacquiao's business manager, confirmed the news but won't divulge the price of the purchase saying that it's confidential but added that people would of course have an idea of how much a Forbes Park home costs. But talks say the mansion, bought from a bank president, cost P388 million. It's currently being renovated and celebrity architect Anton Mendoza is in charge. The Pacquiaos will move to their new home in Cambridge Street, North Forbes reportedly by August of this year. Their new neighbors will be the likes of Senator Loren Legarda, Tonyboy Cojuangco, and Felipe Gozon.

Tori Spelling , more known here in the Philippines for her role as Donna in the 90s hit Beverly Hills 90210 , figured in a minor car accident while traveling with her two kids Liam, 4, and Stella, 2. Tori posted this on Twitter: “Paparazzi chased me w/the kids 2school. I was trying to get away from him and had a pretty big accident. Took down whole wall of school. He thn STILL got out to try to get pics. 10 school moms chased him away. Wht will it take? Someone dying for paparazzi to stop? Going to dr now to check on baby. I think its just shock.” Tori Spelling, 38, is pregnant with her third child due this October. Her publicist reports that Tori was shaken up but she and the kids are doing fine. She's going to the hospital to have her baby checked. Actually, it was just a minor damage in the "school wall" which turned out to not really be a "wall" in the full sense of the word. But still, here's hoping that Tori's baby is okay.

GMA Films and Regal Entertainment , Inc. have just released the full trailer of the much awaited remake of Joey Gosiengfiao 's Temptation Island which will hit theaters July 6, 2011 nationwide. The movie stars Marian Rivera , Heart Evangelista , Lovi Poe , Solenn Heussaff , Rufa Mae Quinto , Aljur Abrenica , Tom Rodriguez , and Mikael Daez . John Lapus plays the role of the pageant host. The Sunday afternoon tv series with focus on dance and teen drama receives good feedback from televiewers that it is given more than the regular 13 weeks. The 6th TV spot for Transformers: Dark of the Moon has been shown during the NBA Finals last Sunday (Monday morning here in Manila). Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 's Wildcard Round has just been concluded and two more were chosen to complete the 14 grand finalists. From among the 6 wildcard contestants, Rico the Magician and Skeights got the highest number of text votes with 41.68% and 30.16% respectively. The wildcard competition was purely based on text votes alone. Collins Gutierrez , Next Generation Band , and Kenny Padalla were eliminated early on. Jennylyn Mercado and Raymart Santiago will be working together in an upcoming primetime series on GMA-7 that is said to take the timeslot of Magic Palayok which is ending soon. Jennylyn, who is lately being seen with the Kapamilya star Luis Manzano and who is also having relationship problems with her biological mother, was last seen in the afternoon soap Little Star . Raymart's last project on GMA-7 , on the other hand, was Bantatay . The new teleserye has a working title of Footbulilits , the story of which revolves around a group of kids with a common interest in the game of football. Raymart Santiago will play the role of the coach. This series is also said to have Ehra Madrigal in a short role of Raymart's wife who will die in the early part of the story.

ABS-CBN has launched a new music video of the Philippine National Anthem, Lupang Hinirang, with the network's brightest stars including Piolo Pascual , Judy Ann Santos , Sam Milby , and KC Concepcion among others. The video starts with a running Piolo Pascual carrying the Philippine flag, and before the anthem starts, the Kapamilya network's president Charo Santos-Concio gives a very brief introduction of the anthem. It's interesting to note that Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu were put together in this video (or was this done a long time ago?). I really hope they're a love team again.
