The free TV coverage of NBA FINALS on ABS-CBN also ruled Philippine TV’s morning block last Friday (June 22) and occupied a Top 5 slot of Kantar Media’s list of overall top 20 programs in the country.  NBA FINALS’ 22.1% rating slammed all its 5 rival programs in GMA including ‘Slamdunk’ (7.2%), ‘One Piece’ (7.6%), ‘Cooking With The Stars’ (5.1%), ‘Kapuso Movie Festival’ (8.0%), and ‘Chef Boy Logro Kusina Master’ (8.8%).

Warner Bros. Philippines has released a new TV spot for The Dark Knight Rises which hits conventional and IMAX theaters in the Philippines on July 19, 2012. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the movie stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane. Other members of the cast include Michael Caine, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman.

Maroon 5 has released their fourth studio album titled Overexposed on June 26, 2012. Adam Levine, the band’s vocalist, has described it as their “most diverse and poppiest album yet.” With the release of the album comes the music video of One More Night , the second single off Overexposed . Based on the latest data of Kantar Media last June 23, SIR’s episode that featured Ryan Bang, Iza Calzado, and Gina Pareño, garnered 7.4% national TV rating compared to its competition which only got 6.7%. This Saturday (June 30) continue to discover never-before-heard life stories of some of the country’s most-talked-about stars in SIR through this week’s episode titled, ‘Bagong Yugto, Bagong Simula.’

Kapamilya child wonder Xyriel Manabat continues to impress TV viewers and netizens as she leads the online voting in ‘Yahoo! OMG!
