The Philippines has its first Mister Cosmopolitan!
John Eriq Bonifacio was named Mister Cosmopolitan 2026 during the pageant’s grand final in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on September 12.

John bested 19 other candidates to become the fourth winner of the international male pageant—and the first one from the Philippines.
“The wait is over. The Philippines has its Mister Cosmopolitan,” Mister Pilipinas Worldwide posted following his victory.
The 27-year-old model and culinary graduate represented Macabebe, Pampanga, at Mister Pilipinas Worldwide 2026 before earning the right to compete internationally.
John was already making waves before the final. He won Best Physique and Best Catwalk during the preliminary competition, making him one of the strongest bets for the crown.
The Philippines had come close to winning Mister Cosmopolitan in previous years. Ivan Aikon Ignacio placed second runner-up in 2023, while Kenneth Marcelino finished first runner-up in 2025. Emerson Gomez also entered the Top 10 in 2024.
John finally brought home the crown this year.
