Misters of Filipinas 2026 Press Favorites Revealed; Baguio Wins Pre-Arrival Vote

The competition is heating up at Misters of Filipinas 2026, with several candidates already making an early impression.

During the pageant's Opening Night and Press Presentation, four delegates were selected as Press Favorites, while the representative of Baguio emerged as the winner of the Pre-Arrival Voting Challenge.

The event was held at Studio W9, La Fuerza Compound, Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City, with this year's 22 official candidates taking part.

Four Candidates Named Press Favorites

Members of the press picked four candidates who stood out during the presentation for their presence, confidence and personality.

The Misters of Filipinas 2026 Press Favorites are:

Nueva Ecija – Arvin Jay Santos

Novaliches, Quezon City – Vincent Mark Caringal

Tarlac Province – Ishe Venn Quiray

Laoag – Nathaniel Bayani

The recognition gives the four delegates an early boost as they continue their journey in the competition.

Of course, being a Press Favorite does not necessarily predict who will eventually take home one of the major titles, but it certainly puts these candidates among the early names to watch.

Richmond Carl Wayan Ngolab of Baguio Wins Pre-Arrival Vote

Meanwhile, Richmond Carl Wayan Ngolab of Baguio scored an early victory after winning the Pre-Arrival Voting Challenge.

The voting period ran from September 28 to October 2, 2026, closing at 7:00 PM.

The award was presented by Sysprotech, the pageant's official voting and tabulation partner.

Ngolab's win suggests that the Baguio representative has already built strong support among pageant fans even before the competition moves into its major events.

Misters of Filipinas 2026 Is Underway

With 22 candidates competing this year, the Opening Night and Press Presentation offered an early glimpse of what could be an exciting Misters of Filipinas competition.

Arvin Jay Santos, Vincent Mark Caringal, Ishe Venn Quiray and Nathaniel Bayani have made their mark with the press, while Richmond Carl Wayan Ngolab has demonstrated his strength in the fan vote.

But the competition is only beginning.

As the candidates move through the upcoming activities, photoshoots and pageant events, more favorites could emerge before the Misters of Filipinas 2026 finals.

Mister International 2026 Names Four Continental Kings

The Mister International Organization has completed its 2026 royal court by naming four Continental Kings.

The organization announced the additional titles several days after the September 26 grand final in Bangkok, Thailand. Each title went to the highest-scoring candidate from the corresponding continent, excluding overall winner Andrés Briseño of Mexico.

• Asia: I Gede Aiswarya Pandit Kartika of Indonesia
• Europe: Ignacio Monclús Pradal of Spain
• America: Jomar Rosa Malavé of Puerto Rico
• Africa: Gideon Ebosetale Abure of Nigeria

Indonesia’s I Gede Aiswarya Kartika was second runner-up and also won Best National Costume. Spain’s Ignacio Monclús Pradal finished first runner-up.

Puerto Rico’s Jomar Rosa Malavé reached the Top 20 before receiving the Mister International America 2026 title. Nigeria’s Gideon Ebosetale Abure made the Top 10 and won Best in Swimwear and the Social Impact Award.

Andrés Briseño succeeds Kirk Bondad

Mexico’s Andrés Briseño won Mister International 2026 at MCC Hall Bangkapi in Bangkok. He was crowned by outgoing Filipino winner Kirk Bondad.

The Top 6 was completed by Spain, Indonesia, Türkiye, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

John Wayne Alba represented the Philippines and finished in the Top 10. Although he did not receive the continental title for Asia, his placement continued the Philippines’ strong record in the international male pageant.

With the four regional titles now confirmed, Mister International’s 2026 royal court is officially complete.

Mexico’s Andrés Briseño has been crowned Mister International 2026, taking home the title at the pageant’s grand finale in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Mexican representative emerged on top of this year’s international field, succeeding Kirk Bondad of the Philippines, who won Mister International 2025.

Briseño’s victory capped a strong campaign for Mexico and officially began his reign as the new Mister International.

John Wayne Alba ends PH campaign in Top 10

The Philippines, meanwhile, was represented by John Wayne Alba, who successfully advanced to the Top 10.

Alba entered the competition hoping to give the Philippines a second consecutive Mister International crown following Kirk Bondad’s victory last year.

While he did not advance to the final six, his Top 10 placement gave the Philippines another strong finish in the international male pageant.

The other contestants who completed the Top 10 were representatives from Nigeria, South Korea and host country Thailand.

Mister International 2026 Top 20

Australia, Canada, Iraq, the Netherlands, Northern Cyprus, Panama, Puerto Rico, South Africa, the United States and Venezuela also advanced to the Top 20.

The competition featured dozens of representatives from around the world before the field was narrowed down during the final night.

Special awards

Several candidates also stood out in the pageant’s special awards.

Nigeria’s Abure Ebosetale won Best Arrival, Best in Swimwear and Best Social Impact.

Sri Lanka’s Ravindu Wijesooriya received Mister Photogenic and People’s Choice, while Turkiye’s Doğukan Navdar earned Mister Telegenic.

Indonesia’s Gede Aiswarya Kartika won Best National Costume.

The United States’ Justin Khoa Phạm received Mister Congeniality and Mister Influencer, while Iraq’s Mustafa Bayati earned Mister Digital Media Excellence.

Mexico takes the Mister International crown

With his victory, Andrés Briseño adds another major international title to Mexico’s pageant record.

For Filipino pageant fans, John Wayne Alba’s Top 10 finish also continues the Philippines’ presence among the leading contenders at Mister International.

The next chapter now begins for Briseño as he takes over the title previously held by the Philippines’ Kirk Bondad.

John Bonifacio wins Mister Cosmopolitan 2026

The Philippines has its first Mister Cosmopolitan!

John Eriq Bonifacio was named Mister Cosmopolitan 2026 during the pageant’s grand final in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on September 12.

John bested 19 other candidates to become the fourth winner of the international male pageant—and the first one from the Philippines.

“The wait is over. The Philippines has its Mister Cosmopolitan,” Mister Pilipinas Worldwide posted following his victory.

The 27-year-old model and culinary graduate represented Macabebe, Pampanga, at Mister Pilipinas Worldwide 2026 before earning the right to compete internationally.

John was already making waves before the final. He won Best Physique and Best Catwalk during the preliminary competition, making him one of the strongest bets for the crown.

The Philippines had come close to winning Mister Cosmopolitan in previous years. Ivan Aikon Ignacio placed second runner-up in 2023, while Kenneth Marcelino finished first runner-up in 2025. Emerson Gomez also entered the Top 10 in 2024.

John finally brought home the crown this year.
