The television remake of Elwood Perez 's Problem Child , which was first reported to be topbilled by Albie Casiño , is now going to be starred by the young woman who recently gave birth to his alleged child – Andi Eigenmann . The original movie version was starred by Andi's aunt Cherie Gil and it's just about right to pass the role on to Andi.

Joey Marquez recently signed a contract with ABS-CBN and will be one of the hosts of Showbiz Inside Report (S.I.R.), the showbiz-oriented talk show that will replace E-Live . Joey Marquez will join the earlier-reported hosts of the show – Carmina Villaroel , Janice de Belen and Ogie Diaz .

The full trailer of TV5's upcoming series Valiente has been uploaded online. This remake of the hit 90s soap stars JC De Vera , Oyo Boy Sotto , Nadine Samonte and Niña Jose . Premiering on February 13, Valiente will replace Glamorosa which is currently in its last few episodes.

Joya Genzola was declared the first evictee from the Top 14 during the Eviction Night last Saturday. She only got 7.03% of votes, the lowest among the other nominated housemates. Carlo Romero got 12.50%, Wendy Tabusalla got 16.01% and Divine Maitland-Smith got the highest 64.47%. Viewers of the show was surprised last Sunday when Jessica Connelly was forced evicted from the house. Jessica expressed her desire to go out during a talk with Big Brother at the Confession Room. She was force evicted for not having the desire to stay in the house anymore. Jessica had to accomplish three tasks before she was finally able to go out, though. The It's Showtime Station ID of ABS-CBN has been released, introducing the show as the replacement for Happy Yipee Yehey which will end on Saturday , February 4, 2012. It's Showtime is the noontime show version of the favorite Kapamilya talent show Showtime . It will start airing on Monday, February 6, 2012, and will be hosted by the same hosts Vhong Navarro , Anne Curtis , Vice Ganda , Billy Crawford , Karylle , Kim Atienza , Teddy Corpus and Jugs Jugueta . Joining them as permanent hosts are hurados who have been well-loved by madlang people - Jhong Hilario , Ryan Bang and Coleen Garcia .

Anne Curtis had a successful concert last January 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum titled Annebisyosa: No Other Concert World Tour. It was a sol-out concert attended by thousand of fans and celebrity friends of Anne. The full trailer of Officially Yours has just been uploaded on the internet. The movie stars Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz in their first movie team-up. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina , it will be shown in theaters beginning February 15. The story is about friends with benefits. Macky (John Lloyd) and Ces (Angel) engages in a one-night-stand. Macky, who has been in several failed relationships, falls for the woman who is afraid of commitments.

Christian Bautista ,  who is not only popular in the Philippines as a singer but in other parts of Southeast Asia as well, made some buzz in The Jakarta Post for allegedly having been deported from Indonesia for "violating immigration regulations by using his visiting visa to work." Christian was reported to have a 30-day visiting visa since Wednesday, January 25, but he was found holding a concert at Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang on Wednesday evening.

Maxene Magalona trended on Twitter last Sunday, January 29, for singing Eraserheads ' Pare Ko with her brother Frank Magalona in GMA-7's Sunday variety show Party Pilipinas . But it's not because people adored Maxene's singing, it was because she was totally out of tune. Davao-based band David vs. Goliath won the Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban 2011. They bested three other bands in the finals held last night, January 28, 2012, at the Aseana Business Park in Parañaque City. David vs. Goliath won P500,000 in cash, an album launch sponsorship worth P300,000 and an endorsement contract with Red Horse beer worth P200,000, not to mention the bragging rights to be called a Muziklaban champion.

Elmo Magalona and Sam Concepcion are featured on the double covers of Garage magazine's Young Talents Issue (February 2012). Elmo and Sam can both sing, dance and act. A Kapuso and a Kapamilya, the two are put head-to-head on the magazine's covers.

Xian Lim is the February 2012 cover boy of Men's Health Philippines. Xian Lim, who stars opposite real life lovers Maja Salvador and Matteo Guidicelli in the still showing My Cactus Heart , was shot in black and white for the cover. The remake of the 90s drama Valiente will air second week of February on TV5. It will replace the series Glamorosa which is currently on its last few episodes. The remake stars JC De Vera as Gardo Valiente and Oyo Boy Sotto as Theo Braganza. Gardo was originally played by Tirso Cruz III . Theo, on the other hand, was done by Michael de Mesa who is also included in the remake. This time, he plays the role of Gardo's father, Damian Valiente.

ABS-CBN is bringing back the popular paranormal drama that hit the late 90s to scare us once again every Saturday night. Oka2kat is a spinoff of !Oka Tokat (Takot ako! spelled backwards) which ran from 1997-2002 on ABS-CBN. Premiering February 4, 2012, the new series stars Paul Salas , Makisig Morales , Sue Anna Ramirez , Jane Oineza and Joshua Colet .

ABS-CBN has released an official statement regarding the network's decision to put Happy Yipee Yehey off air. The farewell episode of the noontime show, which happens on February 4, 2012 at the AFP Theater, will feature the grand finals of My Girl. The network expresses gratitude to all the Kapamilya in and outside the country who supported the show throughout its airing.

Update: TV Patrol announced that Representative Iggy Arroyo has died after removing his life support. This was a few hours after Mike Arroyo said his brother was clinically dead but on life support, retracting his earlier statement that the congressman was already dead. Iggy Arroyo had a cardiac arrest in his London home on January 25 at around 7 PM. He was rushed to the hospital and was declared clinically dead. His heart stopped beating early morning of January 26 but was revived and was put on life support. Iggy Arroyo , Negros Occidental representative and younger brother of Mike Arroyo , has passed away at the age of 60. He had a cardiac arrest Wednesday night in London. He was revived at the hospital but went into a coma. His heart stopped beating this morning.

Project Runway host Heidi Klum and musician  Seal have confirmed the speculations of their separation by releasing a joint statement last Sunday. It reads: “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate,” the couple wrote. “We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. Carmina Villaroel and Janice de Belen will be hosting a showbiz-oriented Saturday afternoon talk show that will replace E-Live ! The show is titled Showbiz Inside Report (SIR). Carmina recently signed an exclusive 3-year with ABS-CBN. Among the projects that was said to be lined up for her was this talk show with Janice.

Walang Hanggan was a consistent number one in its first week. The ABS-CBN drama even beat the finale episode of My Binondo Girl in the nationwide primetime household ratings according to Kantar Media's survey last Friday, January 20, 2012. Walang Hanggan got 34.3% of viewers share while the Kim Chiu -starrer only got 30.7%. GMA-7's Eat Bulaga! was unbeatable, though, in the daytime race. It's rival ABS-CBN show Happy Yipee Yehey didn't even made the Top 10. No wonder the Kapamilya network is ending it soon . Walang Hanggan was the most watched television program last Friday, January 20, based on AGB Nielsen Mega Manila People and Household Ratings. The new ABS-CBN drama got a viewers share of 13.7% in people ratings and 27.2% in the household ratings.

E-Live , ABS-CBN's Saturday afternoon showbiz-oriented talk show, is rumored to end soon. Although yet to be confirmed, the show will be put off air due to low ratings. E-Live is currently hosted by Luis Manzano , Nikki Gil , Ogie Diaz and one of its original hosts Bianca Gonzales . Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez originally hosted the show with Bianca when it started airing in 2007.

Cesar Montano topbills Hitman , a new action film that is aimed to make the Filipino moviegoers watch Pinoy action films once again. It is set to be shown on February 2012. PBB Teen Edition 4 will hold auditions in Cebu on January 27, 2012, at the J Centre Mall in Mandaue. Gates are open from 10 AM to 5 PM. To qualify, you must be 13-17 years old. Team Wayuk was safe from nomination tonight for winning the recent Kontra Battle, and as the consequence of losing, all the nominees tonight came from the Team High Voltage. Wendy Tabusalla was the first declared nominated housemate. It was announced through fortune cookies that they had to open. Safe housemates found a white piece of paper with the words SAFE inside their fortune cookies, while nominated housemates found a red piece of paper inside the cookies with the words NOMINATED.
