Carmina Villaroel is set to sign a contract with ABS-CBN on January 16, 2012, proving that the undying speculations about her leaving the Kapuso network are indeed true.
The 36-year-old actress and her manager Dolor Guevarra was recently said to have had a series of meetings with ABS-CBN executives. There were also some speculations that she will be included in the upcoming television series, E-Boy.
New reports say, though, that Carmina will take the place left by KC Concepcion in The Buzz. The megadaughter re-appeared on The Buzz last Sunday for her farewell episode. And now that the show has officially one less host, the slot is said to be assigned to Carmina.
Meanwhile, Zoren Legaspi left GMA-7 months ahead of Carmina and transferred to TV5. Among his shows is Paparazzi, the Sunday entertainment news and talk show of TV5 which also airs every Sunday afternoon much like The Buzz.
If ever Carmina's inclusion in The Buzz is true, she and her husband would both be hosting a showbiz-oriented talk show every Sunday afternoon on competing channels. Paparazzi airs earlier, though, so they will not be competing head-on.
