Eugene Domingo is nominated for Best Actress at the 6th Asian Film Awards. The nomination was for her outstanding performance in the movie Ang Babae sa Septic Tank.
The movie may not have made it to the Academy Awards' (Oscars) Best Foreign Language Film shortlist but Eugene's talent was nevertheless recognized by the Asian Film Awards.
The comedian will go against four other actresses from Asia for the award. They are Vidya Balan (The Dirty Picture), India; Michelle Chen (You Are The Apple Of My Eye), Taiwan; Leila Hatami (Nader and Simin, A Separation), Iran; Deanie Ip (A Simple Life), Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Eugene is already working on the sequel of Kimmy Dora. The sequel is titled Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme. Also starring in the movie are Ariel Ureta, Miriam Quiambao, Dingdong Dantes, Zanjoe Marudo plus a lot of cameos.
