Floyd Mayweather tweeted last Tuesday challenging Manny Pacquiao to a fight on May 5, 2012. The tweet read:
“Manny Pacquiao I’m calling you out let’s fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see”
Mayweather can fight Pacman in May because his plea for his prison service to be pushed back was granted. His 90-day jail sentence for domestic violence was postponed for June 1.
Pacquiao, in turn, agreed to fight Mayweather but only if the undefeated American boxer would agree to a 50-50 revenue share.
The Pinoy boxing champ's financial adviser, Michael Koncz, though, told The Associated Press that the fight may not push through. They're still waiting for the 45,000-seater boxing arena to be finished because a smaller venue is not an option.
The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is a much-awaited one for boxing enthusiasts all over the world. Fans would surely flew in to the venue, and a bigger arena would of course mean a bigger income for both players.
