Update: TV Patrol announced that Representative Iggy Arroyo has died after removing his life support. This was a few hours after Mike Arroyo said his brother was clinically dead but on life support, retracting his earlier statement that the congressman was already dead. Iggy Arroyo had a cardiac arrest in his London home on January 25 at around 7 PM. He was rushed to the hospital and was declared clinically dead. His heart stopped beating early morning of January 26 but was revived and was put on life support.
Iggy Arroyo, Negros Occidental representative and younger brother of Mike Arroyo, has passed away at the age of 60.
He had a cardiac arrest Wednesday night in London. He was revived at the hospital but went into a coma. His heart stopped beating this morning.
Iggy Arroyo went to London last year to take care of a liver problem.
Born Ignacio Tuason Arroyo, Jr., Iggy's partner before he died was the businesswoman Grace Ibuna who has a daughter with Gabby Concepcion, the singer Garie Concepcion.
Iggy Arroyo was elected congressman of Negros Occidental in 2004 and 2007. He got his degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Finance at the University of San Francisco in California in 1974.
