A magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit Luzon on Monday, April 22, 2019. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the earthquake at exactly 5:11 PM with epicenter located 18 kilometers (km) northeast of Castillejos, Zambales.

Vietnam wins 13th Mister International

Trinh Bao of Vietnam won the 13th Mister International title on Sunday night, February 24, 2019. He bested 38 other men from around the world, succeeding Korea's SeungHwan Lee. The 13th Mister International took place in the Philippines. The finals was held at One Esplanade in Pasay City.

Minor-friendly "Once Upon a Deadpool 2" opens in select PH cinemas nationwide on January 16

Reimagined for the younger movie audience, Deadpool 2’s “Once Upon a Deadpool” is now rated PG by the local censors board (MTRCB) featuring an additional 20 minutes of new footage.   Kids below 13 years old can now watch the world’s favorite disreputable superhero on the big screen and enjoy it with the whole gang. Fred Savage joins Ryan Reynolds in “Once Upon a Deadpool” that pays homage to his starring role in the 1987 “The Princess Bride”.  “While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab,” says Savage of the film’s advocacy.

Blockbuster action icon Liam Neeson is back with a vengeance in a heady mix of rage and dark humor in “Cold Pursuit”. Infused with irreverent humor, “Cold Pursuit” sees Liam Neeson as Nels Coxman, a family man whose quiet life with his wife (Laura Dern) is upended following the mysterious death of their son. Nels’ search for justice turns into a vengeful hunt for Viking (Tom Bateman), a drug lord he believes is connected to the death. As one by one of Viking’s associates “disappear,” Nels goes from upstanding citizen to ice-cold vigilante, letting nothing — and no one — get in his way.
