The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) has recently revealed the nominees for the 69th FAMAS Awards.
Movies with the most number of nominations are Magikland; On Vodka, Beers and Regrets; and Watch List. All three got eleven nominations each. Fan Girl followed with nine, while Untrue and Block Z are just behind with seven nominations each.

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) held the star-studded awarding ceremonies of the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television Sunday night, November 12, 2017, at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo De Manila University.
Dennis Trillo and Andi Eigenmann won top acting awards at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences, Inc. (FAMAS) Awards 2016 which was held at the Century Park hotel on Sunday, December 4th.
Dennis won for his role in Viva Films' Felix Manalo. The movie was also the big winner of the night, getting 4 other awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Theme Song.
Andi, on the other hand, won for her role in Angela Markado.

Winners of the MTV Video Music Awards 2016 were announced during the ceremonies that was held at the Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday, August 28. Beyoncé's groundbreaking visual album "Lemonade" won eight Moonmen, including Video of the Year for "Formation."
Beyoncé was also one of the performers and she surprised with a jaw-dropping "Lemonade" medley that recreated the stunning imagery of the visual album.
Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award-winner Rihanna dazzled with a career-spanning four-act performance – including an electrifying opening dance medley and a trio of stirring ballads to close – before accepting the VMAs highest honor with a heartfelt tribute by Drake.

The 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies (2016) honored the best in mainstream and indie films of 2015 during the awarding ceremony held on Sunday, March 6, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
"Felix Manalo" was a big winner with four awards including best actor for Dennis Trillo (tied with Piolo Pascual for "Silong") who played the title role in this biopic of the Iglesia Ni Cristo founder. The film also won movie of the year as well as best director for Joel Lamangan.
Leonardo DiCaprio won his first Oscar trophy on Sunday night, February 28, 2015, during the 88th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. He won for his performance in "The Revenant" as the American fur trapper Hugh Glass who is famous for surviving a grizzly bear mauling.
This was Leonardo's fourth best actor nomination after his respective roles in "The Aviator" (2005), "Blood Diamond" (2007), and "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2014).
GMA-7's "Ilustrado" which starred Alden Richards as Jose Rizal is an official nominee at the New York Festivals World's Best TV & Films. The program is vying for the Mini-Series category against eight other nominees - "Texas Rising," "TUT" and "Sons of Liberty" from the USA; "The Trials of Jimmy Rose" and "Midwinter of the Spirit" from the United Kingdom; "Battle for Sevastopo" from Ukraine; "Shades of Guilt - The Festival" from Germany; and "Old Money" from Austria.
Televised from October 20 - November 14, 2014, the mini-series is about the early life of the Philippine national hero, Jose Rizal - from his teenage life leading to his tragic first love that inspired the creation of Maria Clara, the heroine in his book "Noli Me Tangere."
Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza, Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid and Enrique Gil are nominated at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (KCAs) 2016.
The four young stars are vying in the Favorite Pinoy Personality category of the annual KCAs.
