Jamaican-American singer Sean Kingston is in a critical condition right now after a jet ski crash last Sunday evening. The singer was with a female companion who was also injured. The two were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital after their jet ski hit the Palm Island Bridge. Officials say they don't think there's alcohol involved in the accident. Though Sean is reported to be in a serious condition, no word about the state of his female friend has yet been released. Sean Kingston was discovered through MySpace by Tommy Rotem. He released his self-titled debut album in 2007. Its carrier single, Beautiful Girls , became such a hit that it stayed for three weeks on top of the US Billboard Hot 100. He also became popular here in the Philippines because of that song.

The second Tambayan OPM Awards (2011) was held at SM North Edsa's Skydome last Saturday, May 28, 2011. Juris Fernandez and Jovit Baldivino were top winners that night as they won Female Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year respectively. Jovit also won Best New Artist of the Year, beating out Tanya Markova , Kiss Jane , Champ Lui-Pio , and General Luna . Charice 's contributions to the world of entertainment was also recognized by giving her the Tambayani Award. The fiesta-themed awards night was hosted by Francine Prieto and Jason Gainza who was in Boy Abunda-mode. GMA-7 's Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera , is back on top of FHM Philippines' poll for the 100 Sexiest Women in the World as of May 27, 2011. After leading the poll for some weeks, she dropped to number three last week when Sam Pinto became number 1 and Angel Locsin grabbed the number 2 slot. Marian's fans perhaps just became contented with how she had been leading and didn't push the vote as much. And since she dropped to the third slot last week, her fans for sure doubled their efforts to vote for her – reason why she's again back on top this week. I think all the hype GMA-7 is making for the promo of Amaya also helped. Amaya , by the way, will air its pilot episode on Monday, May 30, 2011, on GMA-7's primetime block.

There will be an Amaya screening later tonight at SM City The Block Cinema 2. The pilot week's episodes will be shown to Special VIPs around at 7 PM. George Miller 's Happy Feet Two is hitting theaters on November 18 and Warner Bros. Pictures has just dropped its official teaser trailer. This sequel to 2006's Happy Feet still features the voices of Elijah Wood as Mumble, Robin Williams as Ramon/Lovelace, and Elizabeth Daily as Baby Mumble/Erik. What's more exciting is that Pink will now be doing the voice of Gloria which was done by Brittany Murphy in the first film. Matt Damon and Brad Pitt are also in the new movie as the voices of Krill #1 and Krill #2 respectively. Happy Feet Two will be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D. Scotty McCreery has just been declared as the tenth American Idol ! He battled it out yesterday with Lauren Alaina who ended up in second place. With a total of 122 million votes majority of which going to the 17-year-old young man from Garner, North Carolina, host Ryan Seacrest announced the country singer as the new American Idol . HBO has released a new trailer and poster for the fourth season of True Blood . The trailer reveals some exciting storyline – necromancers, for one. And I have a feeling Bill Compton's ( Stephen Moyer ) character will be overshadowed by Eric Northman's ( Alexander Skarsgård ). But I kinda like Eric for Sookie ( Anna Paquin ), don't you? Movie poster of Temptation Island has just been released by Regal Films. Directed by Joey Gosiengfiao (who also directed the original movie), this is going to hit theaters last week of June. Temptation Island is so packed with sexy actors and actresses – Marian Rivera , Heart Evangelista , Lovi Poe , Solenn Heussaff , Rufa Mae Quinto , Aljur Abrenica , Tom Rodriguez , and Mikael Daez . John Lapus plays the role of the pageant host. The teaser is quite hilarious. Marian is really such a versatile actress she fits well in both drama and comedy. Also, Rufa Mae never fails to deliver. I'm sure fans will miss Kathryn Bernardo and   Julia Montes when Mara Clara ends two weeks from now. But there's actually no reason to because their careers are not ending with the soap. Amaya is not the only show being released on May 30. Hours before it premieres, an afternoon soap starring Jackie Rice will have its pilot episode on GMA-7 's afternoon block. Jackie will play the role of a diver named Eden in Sisid , a story that focuses on a perlante – a certain kind of pearl that is believed to bring good luck on whoever acquires it. The main cast also includes Dominic Roco , and JC Tiuseco . In supporting roles are Angelu de Leon , Daniel Fernando , Lorenzo Mara , Marco Alcaraz , Bela Padilla , Ian Batherson , Rich Asuncion , Marc Acueza , Maricar de Mesa , Alicia Mayer , and Bembol Roco .

The last two remaining American Idol 10 contestants Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina battled it out with three rounds (or three songs) this evening. The first song being their favorite performance in the season, second was a song chosen for them, and third was the song that would also be their first single. Scotty started off the show with Gone , which was his favorite performance. Check Yes or No , the song George Strait chose for him, was his next song. For his final performance, he sang Love You This Big , which therefore became his first official single. Lauren, on the other hand, chose Flat on the Floor as her favorite performance. She followed it up by Maybe it was Memphis which Carrie Underwood chose for her. Like My Mother Does was her final performance (and first official single). This is good news for the Chasters. Our very own Charice will be performing live at the finale of the American hit reality show, American Idol 10 . How cool is that? The Filipina international singing sensation will do a duet with Pia Toscano who placed 9th this season. Talks on the internet about Charice performing on the show's finale had been mere speculations at first. Amidst the rumor that Star Cinema won't be giving Sarah Geronimo any more movie projects, talks have surfaced that the singer/actress is teaming up (through Viva Entertainment) for a movie project with ace comedian, Vice Ganda , and one of local showbiz's prettiest, Anne Curtis . The movie has a working title of 2 and 1/2 Sisters , and of course it's quite obvious who the 1/2 sister is. Although the stars' schedules forbid the immediate filming of the movie, it is said to push through later this year. With the team-up of Vice, Anne, and Sarah, I'm sure 2 and 1/2 Sisters will be a blockbuster hit.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is going to be released in July 15, and after the second trailer which made us more excited to see the last film of the series, here now is a brand new poster featuring the face of Harry ( Daniel Radcliffe ). Bea Alonzo and Robin Padilla pair up for the first time in the upcoming action series of ABS-CBN entitled Guns and Roses . Premiering June 6th, the series is directed by Trina Dayrit and Rechie del Carmen . The 2011 Billboard Music Awards has just ended and Eminem and Justin Bieber were the big winners with six awards each. Next were Rihanna , Lady Gaga , Usher , Taylor Swift , Mumford & Sons , and Taio Cruz who each got 3 awards each. Rihanna and Britney Spears opened the show with a racy duet of S&M complete with bondage, leather, pillow fights, and pole dancing. Beyonce also performed Run the World (Girls) with a hundred female dancers. Lady Gaga , Black Eyed Peas , and Justin Timberlake (plus a lot more) also performed. TV5 brings back on television 80s hit comedy series Iskul Bukol . And although old characters will not be brought back in the new show, the setting will still be at the Wanbol University. Iskul Bukol originally starred the comic trio of Tito Sotto , Vic Sotto , and Joey de Leon . And if there's any connection in the new show to the three of them, perhaps it's only the fact that one of its stars, Keempee de Leon , is the son of Joey in real life. All new characters will be portrayed by Keempee as Wacky Roque, Regine Angeles as Barbie Que, Sam YG as Easy Balidosa, Alwyn Uytingco as Chill Balidosa, Erika Padilla as Shawie Cunanan, Fredison Lo as Rude Valentino, Tess Antonio as Aning Francia, Lao Rodriguez as Pet Jacobo, and Joel Saracho as Bongbong Bing. Cesar Montano and Iza Calzado team up for the first time to star in the television remake of the Carlo J. Caparas comics novel, Andres de Saya . The GMA-7 sitcom is set to premiere on May 28, 2011. Cesar and Iza's roles were originally played by Vic Vargas and Gloria Diaz respectively in the films Andres de Saya (1980), Andres de Saya (Mabagsik na Daw!) (1982), and Anomalya ni... Andres de Saya (1986). GMA-7's Andres de Saya will also star the loveteam of Elmo Magalona and Julie Anne San Jose , plus the hunky Brazilian model Fabio Ide . Award-winning actresses Gloria Romero and Caridad Sanchez are also in the cast, as well as Iwa Moto , child star Jillian Ward , Chariz Solomon , and Mike "Pekto" Nacua . Another new trailer for X-Men: First Class has been released, and this time it is so action-packed and it gives us a feeling of such anticipation for the movie's June 3 release. Filipino-Canadian Riza Santos , who was also Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 's second big placer, has won the Miss World Canada 2011 crown last May 19, 2011, at the River Rock Show Theater in Richmond. Riza was also Miss Earth Canada 2006 and participated in the international competition here in the Philippines where she got two special awards - Miss Photogenic and Miss Fontana. The beauty contest paved the way for her short showbiz career here in the country. Riza was linked to fellow housemate Will DeVaughn even after their stay at the PBB House. She also appeared in quite a number of ABS-CBN shows, most notable of which were Betty La Fea and Miss Earth 2008 as host. She eventually flew back to Canada to study Engineering in Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. Riza Santos will represent Canada in the Miss World 2011 pageant will be held in London on November 8, 2011.

If the rumors are true, Catch Me... I'm In Love  is Sarah Geronimo 's last movie under Star Cinema. That's allegedly after she caused some production problems in the filming of the said movie by arriving late on the set, and not showing up on some shooting scheds. Sarah's camp also allegedly refused to do another movie with John Lloyd Cruz  despite the fact that their past two movies did well in the box-office. Another one that Sarah G. reportedly refused to do was a movie with Toni Gonzaga , Sam Milby , and Rayver Cruz . The latter is quite understandable, but refusing a movie with John Lloyd is something that makes a lot of people raise an eyebrow. Well, these "rumors" are said to be the reasons why Star Cinema wouldn't want to give Sarah another film assignment. And if that is true, well, that's that's too bad.

Paramount Pictures has moved the release date of Transformers: Dark of the Moon two days earlier. From the original July 1 (Friday) the sci-fi adventure will now be shown starting June 29 (Wednesday). Directed by Michael Bay , the movie stars Shia LaBeouf , Rosie Huntington-Whiteley , Tyrese Gibson , and Josh Duhamel among others.

The  Matthew Vaughn -directed   X-Men: First Class  stars  Jennifer Lawrence ,  Rose Byrne ,  James McAvoy ,  Michael Fassbender ,  January Jones ,  Nicholas Hoult , and  Kevin Bacon  among others. Ugh! After an impressive performance last night on American Idol 10 , it seemed that America wasn't impressed much on Haley Reinhart 's capabilities as a singer. Haley was eliminated tonight, leaving Scotty McCreery  and Lauren Alaina  to battle it out next week on the show's 2-part finale. It can be recalled that the judges all voted for Haley's performance of Led Zeppelin 's What Is and What Should Never Be during round one of last night's performances. Her song choices last night, in my opinion, were more interesting compared to Scotty and Lauren's. But then America has voted, and who are we to question that? Let's just hope it wouldn't be a boring finale next week.

Set to premiere on May 30, 2011, GMA-7 has released a new teaser/trailer for its most expensive show to date, Amaya . One will have a pretty good idea of how this series will go about after watching the trailer, and I can't wait for its regular run. Amaya stars Marian Rivera in the title role. Sid Lucero and Mikael Daez plays Marian's leading men. Supporting cast includes respected actors and actresses like Gina Alajar , Raymond Bagatsing , Lani Mercado , Irma Adlawan , Roy Alvarez , Perla Bautista , and Gardo Versoza . American Idol Season 10  is now down to its Top 3 contestants - Scotty McCreery , Lauren Alaina , and Haley Reinhart . The three performed three songs tonight. The first was their song of choice, second was Jimmy Iovine 's choice, and third was the judges' choice. Haley easily won Round 1, not because she slipped on the stage but because she really impressed everyone with her inner rockstar. She sang What Is and What Should Never Be  by Led Zeppelin . Scotty did Lonestar 's Amazed  and Lauren sang Faith Hill 's Wild One . Watch the video below. There's also a slow motion of the fall at the end of the clip. Round 2 was won 2:1 by Scotty and Lauren. Jennifer Lopez  and Randy Jackson  voted for Scotty who did his rendition of Thompson Square 's Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not , while Steven Tyler  was for Lauren who sang Band Perry 's If I Die Young . Pictures of Mildred Baena ,  Arnold Schwarzenegger 's mistress and the mother of his now 14-year-old love child, have been surfacing everywhere on the web. Mildred Baena served as housekeeper for Arnold and his wife Maria Shriver  for two decades. Arnold and Mildred were able to keep it a secret until this week, and after Arnold has served seven years as Governor of California, when the scandalous news broke out. Saw this Aljur Abrenica Century Tuna Healthylicious Hotdog TVC for the first time while watching Showtime over lunch a while back. And I really couldn't restrain myself from smiling all throughout the 30-second ad. Smiling either (1) because Aljur's smile is infectious; or (2) because he has finally shown signs of naughtiness.
