Kris Bernal told the entertainment press that she and Jay Perillo has broken up due to lack of time spent with each other.
In a press conference for the 2011 Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Panday 2, the Kapuso actress confessed that she and Jay are not together anymore. She further said that they decided to "lie low" for a while and that their misunderstandings were due to the fact that they don't see each other that much anymore.
Before Panday 2, Kris did the primetime series Time of My Life, and that is aside from the Sunday musical variety Party Pilipinas.
Success in career sometimes really get in the way of love life.
But for Jay, there was no break-up that happened at all.
"I wouldn't say 'break' because there's nothing going on na sinabi namin to begin with," he told Sun Star. "Pero 'yon nga, since she asked na medyo mag-lie low muna kami. So, yun ang ginawa namin ngayon."
But still, Jay said there won't be a girl as perfect for him than Kris. He's hoping that she would still give him a chance someday.

Imus Productions and GMA Films release the full trailer of the upcoming film Ang Panday 2 which stars Senator Bong Revilla Jr., Marian Rivera, Iza Calzado and Phillip Salvador among others.
It is one of the most highly-budgeted movies to be shown on December 25 for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2011.
The movie follows the life of a blacksmith named Flavio (Revilla) and his battles against the evil Lizardo and his minions. In fighting the evil, Flavio uses a sword made from an object that was flashed from the sky. It possesses great powers that helps Flavio keep his town safe.
Directed by Mac Alejandre, Ang Panday 2 also stars Eddie Garcia, Alice Dixson, Buboy Villar, Kris Bernal, Alden Richards, Lucy Torres-Gomez, Lorna Tolentino and many more.

With Captain Barbell's finale last Friday, GMA-7 decided to move Amaya to the earlier timeslot left by the Richard Gutierrez-starrer. The epicserye will now be pitted against ABS-CBN's top-rating primetime show, 100 Days to Heaven.

Kris Bernal is the main character in GMA-7's upcoming danserye, Time of My Life. The young actress said that she only learned the story will revolve around her character during the story conference.
The series also stars Mark Herras and Rocco Nacino who are both known for their excellent dancing skills.
And what does Kris do to prepare for the role? The young actress said the Kapuso network has put her in an intensive dance training under Party Pilipinas choreographer, Paulo Infante. The training will help her keep up with her leading men, who are also graduates of StarStruck.
At the press conference for Time of My Life, the press took notice of Kris' weight loss, which the Kapuso actress said was the result of not having rice for two months. She said she lost 15 pounds, making her only 90 pounds at the moment.
Fans need not worry, though, because Kris said she's been eating a lot lately. She wanted to gain some pounds back because people have been noticing her thin frame doesn't look good anymore on television.
Also in the cast of Time of My Life are Jean Garcia, Cherie Gil, Raymond Bagatsing, and Emilio Garcia.
Scheduled to premiere on August 1, the show is written by Des Garbes Severino and directed by Mark Reyes (musicals) and Andoy Ranay (drama).
