Cinemalaya's 10th anniversary feature films at Ayala's Fairview Terraces

Ayala Malls Cinemas continues to celebrate with the nation as Cinemalaya’s 10th Anniversary recently opened (August 2) at their latest digital screen at Fairview Terraces.

The latest satellite venue of the festival which is Ayala’s Fairview Terraces in Quezon City hosted an opening night featuring Separados, a romantic comedy drama by GB Sampedro starring Alfred Vargas, Anjo Yllana, Jason AbalosVictor Neri, Ricky Davao and Erik Santos.  Inspired by true events, Separados is about  the bittersweet saga of six men who separated from their wives.

Dingdong Dantes topbills ‘Dance of the Steelbars’; trailer released (Video)

Dingdong Dantes will dance once again! No, he’s not reuniting with the Abztract Dancers. He will dance as an inmate in the upcoming movie Dance of the Steelbars!

The movie was obviously inspired by the dancing inmates of Cebu and the story will revolve around how dance will change the lives (or at least their perspective) of the main characters who are all convicted of crimes they have or have not committed.

“Coffee Prince” premieres tonight on GMA-7! (Character Photos)

The Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean series Coffee Prince premieres tonight on GMA-7. It has Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal in the lead roles of Arthur and Andy respectively.

Directed by Ricky Davao, the series also stars Benjamin Alves as Errol, Max Collins as Arlene, Boy2 Quizon as Ervin, Steven Silva as Bamboo, Fabio Ide as Leo, Sef Cadayona as Baldo, Kim Komatsu as Mylene, Tessie Tomas as Beth, Leo Martinez as Ernie, Ces Quesada as Lorna, Ronnie Henares as Oliver, and Celia Rodriguez as Mamita.

Richard Gutierrez to do action-drama series after Survivor

After Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown, Richard Gutierrez will be going back to acting via an upcoming GMA-7 action-drama that will be aired on the primetime block.

One of Richard's leading ladies in the new project is said to be Carla Abellana. If that is true, then it belies the rumors about her transfer to ABS-CBN.

Another of Richard's leading ladies in the series is Sarah Lahbati. The star of Kokak, which is currently still airing weekday afternoons, is so blessed that she is now given a lead in a primetime series.

According to reports, Ricky Davao will be directing the still untitled action-drama. He is also the director of Kokak.

Sarah Lahbati Takes the Lead in "Kokak"

Sarah Lahbati is finally playing the lead via the upcoming GMA-7 series Kokak. It is scheduled to premiere on November 14 in the timeslot that will be left by Pahiram ng Isang Ina in the network's afternoon block

TJ Trinidad and JC Tiuseco will be Sarah's leading men. Also in the cast are Jessa Zaragoza, Gary Estrada, Frencheska Farr, Deborah Sun, Vaness del Moral and Ervic Vijandre.

Directed by actor/director Ricky Davao, Kokak is a TV remake of the 1989 Seiko Films movie that starred Rachel Lobangco.
