Changing Partners , the most awarded narrative feature in Cinema One Originals Film Festival 207, is getting a commercial run starting January 31. Two earthquakes hit Occidental Mindoro on Saturday night, January 14, 2018. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the first earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.0, at exactly 11:20 PM with epicenter located 30 kilometers (km) southwest of Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 7 km. Intensity II was recorded in Tagaytay City; Calatagan, Batangas; and Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. The second earthquake was recorded at exactly 11:49 PM Saturday night and was a little stronger than the first one at magnitude 5.2. Its epicenter was located 26 km west of Paluan. The second quake was also tectonic in origin and had a depth of 4 km. Intensity III was felt in Tagaytay City and Quezon City. Phivolcs warned of aftershocks from both earthquakes.

Pilipinas Got Talent season 6 aired its pilot episode on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Vice Ganda, Robin Padilla, Angel Locsin and Freddie M. Garcia (FMG) consisted the panel of judges and Billy Crawford and Toni Gonzaga hosted. Toni is the newest addition to the show. TOWEL DANCE The comedy group, Mama's Boyz, from Sta. Mesa, Manila was the first act that was aired during the season premiere. The group did a towel dance, using only towels to cover their naked bodies while dancing. It's their failure to cover up sensitive areas in some parts of the dance that gave the audience and the judges a good laugh. The routine is not new in talent shows, though, but it was how the group delivered that made the audience love them. In the end, Mama's Boyz got 4 yeses from judges Vice Ganda, Robin Padilla, Angel Locsin and Freddie M. Garcia.

Janica Nam Floresca has learned that her late boyfriend Franco Hernandez already had plans to propose to her before he died last November. Janica talked about it through a recent post on her Facebook account. She wrote that she learned through one of Franco's bestfriends that he was planning to propose to her in April 2019.

Regal Films has released the movie poster of Mama's Girl , which stars Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Jameson Blake and Sylvia Sanchez. Directed by Connie S. A. Macatuno, the movie opens January 17 in cinemas nationwide. In the recent trailer released by Regal Films, we saw Abby (Sofia) as a fresh graduate who wants a corporate job, away from managing her mom's restaurant which helped her graduate.

Jonalyn Viray sings the theme song of the upcoming ABS-CBN series, Asintado , which stars Shaina Magdayao, Paulo Avelino, Aljur Abrenica and Julia Montes. The series starts airing January 15.
