Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced the nominations for the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards. Actors Terry Crews, Danai Gurira, Leslie Mann and Christian Slate revealed the nominees live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The 76th Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC on Sunday, January 6, 2019, hosted by Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg.

The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards unofficially kicked off Hollywood's awards season this year. The event, which recognizes excellence in movies and television, aired live on NBC on January 7 (morning of January 8 in Manila) from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Set in Spain, the delightful movie Ferdinand tells the remarkable story of a gentle bull, voiced by John Cena, a gentle giant who prefers flowers to fighting and has no desire to face off against matadors in the bullring. It follows Ferdinand as he embarks on a thrilling, dangerous and fun-filled journey to find love, acceptance and a real home. Home is also the title of the new song from Jonas, about the place where people (and bulls) can relax and be themselves.
From the award-winning Blue Sky Studios, Ferdinand was directed by Carlos Saldanha. Based on the classic 1936 children’s book of the same name, by author Munro Leaf and illustrator Robert Lawson, the film also stars Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon as the voice of Lupe the goat.
This year’s Best Actor at the Golden Globes was recently awarded to Michael Keaton for his portrayal as an aging actor bent on pushing further his feats by starring and directing in a play in the dark comedy “Birdman.”
Keaton, who also played the iconic Dark Knight in previously released blockbuster “Batman” movies, flies and dares to fight all odds to prove himself worthy of acclaim in his winning performance in the highly-lauded and celebrated “Birdman” movie.
