Cloie Syquia Skarne wins Miss Earth Sweden 2016 title
Cloie Syquia Skarne, Gabby Concepcion's daughter with Jenny Syquia, dreamed of representing Sweden in the Miss Universe 2016. In the Miss Sweden pageant that took place Sunday night, however, the beautiful half-sister of KC Concepcion was given the title Miss Earth Sweden and will be the country's representative in the next Miss Earth pageant.
Cloie took to Instagram to post a photo of herself being crowned, captioning it with words of thanks to those who have helped her get that far.
"I'm MISS EARTH SWEDEN 2016!," she wrote. "Thank you to those who have supported me and believed in me. I would not have been who I am today without you."
The reigning Miss Earth is Philippines' Angelia Ong. Will Cloie be the next one to wear the crown?

Miss Earth 2015 Results - Philippines' Angelia Ong wins!
Angelia Ong of the Philippines was crowned Miss Earth 2015 on Saturday night, December 5 (December 6 in Manila) in Marx Halle in Vienna, Austria.
She was crowned by Jamie Herrell (also of the Philippines), last year's winner.

Newly cleared Estero de Santibañez launched
ABS-CBN Foundation’s Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) in partnership with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC), and the City of Manila launched the newly cleared Estero de Santibañez in Paco, Manila recently following the completion of the rehabilitation of Estero de Paco in 2012 and Estero de Aviles last July.
The DPWH, led by Sec. Rogelio Singson, donated a total of P13.69 million for the infrastructure development of the 430-meter creek that used to choke on garbage

The international beauties of Miss Earth 2013 showed their love for the newly rehabilitated Estero de Santibañez in its inauguration spearheaded by ABS-CBN Foundation-Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) recently.
The candidates took the lead in painting the houses lined along the estero to further beautify the community.

Tereza bested 84 other beautiful girls from around the world. She was crowned by last year’s winner Olga Alava of Ecuador.

Miss Ecuador Olga Alava was crowned Miss Earth 2011 in the pageant held last night, December 3, 2011, at the UP Theater in Diliman, Quezon City.
The event was overshadowed by the football match of LA Galaxy and Philippine Azkals but it was well attended by pageant enthusiasts nonetheless.

Athena Mae Imperial is Miss Philippines Earth 2011
Athena Mae Imperial has just been crowned the Miss Philippines Earth 2011 at the pageant held June 5, 2011, in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The 24-year-old, 5'6" beauty represented her town, Municipality of Casiguran, Aurora.
Athena bested 48 other girls and was the shortest of the final 10 candidates. But short as she was, she made up for it by impressing the judges and the crowd during the question and answer portion.
A former researcher in a GMA-7 investigative program, Athena Mae Imperial succeeded 2010 winner Kris Psyche Resus and will represent the country in Miss Earth 2011 happening on November 12 in Pattaya,Thailand.
Meanwhile, the homegirl Jonavi Raisa Quiray was crowned Miss Philippines Air 2011 (1st runner-up). Many initially thought she would win considering that she was a crowd favorite and was Puerto Princesa's candidate.

Ex-PBB Housemate Riza Santos Wins Miss World Canada 2011
Filipino-Canadian Riza Santos, who was also Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2's second big placer, has won the Miss World Canada 2011 crown last May 19, 2011, at the River Rock Show Theater in Richmond.
Riza was also Miss Earth Canada 2006 and participated in the international competition here in the Philippines where she got two special awards - Miss Photogenic and Miss Fontana. The beauty contest paved the way for her short showbiz career here in the country.
Riza was linked to fellow housemate Will DeVaughn even after their stay at the PBB House. She also appeared in quite a number of ABS-CBN shows, most notable of which were Betty La Fea and Miss Earth 2008 as host.
She eventually flew back to Canada to study Engineering in Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary.
Riza Santos will represent Canada in the Miss World 2011 pageant will be held in London on November 8, 2011.

Vietnam Hosts Miss Earth 2010
A press conference was held at the White Palace Convention Center in Phu Nhuan, Ho Chi Minh City last August 25 to officially announce that Miss Earth 2010 will be held in Vietnam. Present in the press conference are Miss Earth 2009, Larisa Ramos; Miss Air 2009/Miss Philippines-Earth 2009, Sandra Seifert; Miss Philippines-Earth 2010, Ms. Kris Psyche Resus and Pageant owners, Mr. Ramon Monzon and Ms. Lorraine Schuck.
Pageant activities will start November 4th, with the contestants promoting their environmental advocacies in the provinces of Dong Thap, Phan Thiet, Hoi An and Nha Trang. Coronation night will be held at the Vinpearl Island in Nha Trang Province on December 4, 2010.
