Alden Richards' arrival temporarily halts 29th Star Awards for TV

Fans couldn't contain their excitement when Alden Richards arrived in the middle of the 29th PMPC Star Awards for TV ceremonies Thursday night. His name was chanted as he entered the Kia Theater that the program was temporarily halted until the screams died down.

Alden won two awards at the Philippine Movie Press Club-spearheaded event - Best Drama Actor for his role in GMA-7's "Ilustrado," and the Power Tandem award that he shared with Maine Mendoza.

Andrea Brillantes wins Best Child Performer, thanks bullies in speech

Teleserye princess Andrea Brillantes stole the scene at the recent PMPC Star Awards for Television when she thanked the people who bullied her in the past in her acceptance speech for the Best Child Performer award.

ABS-CBN bags 30 awards at 27th PMPC Star Awards for TV (2013)

ABS-CBN is again the most awarded TV network at the 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television held Sunday night (Nov 24), bagging 30 awards across 56 categories, including the Best TV station for the fifth consecutive year.

The Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC) has released the nominees for the 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television (2013). Winners will be revealed during the awards night to be held on November 24, 2013, Sunday, 6 PM, at the AFP Theater, Camp Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. It will be aired on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best on December 1.

“Luv U” is PMPC Star Awards for TV’s Best Youth-Oriented Show

Laughter and teen romance in “LUV U” won as it brought home the Best Youth Oriented Show Award from the recently held PMPC Star Awards for TV where the whole cast was present.

“Toda Max” wins big at PMPC Star Awards for TV 2012

“Toda Max” won big in the PMPC Star Awards for Television recently after it received three awards out of its five nominations. The sitcom took home the Best Comedy/Gag Show Award, Best Comedy Actor Award for Robin Padilla and Best Comedy Actress Award for Pokwang.

Robin and Pokwang’s co-nominees Vhong Navarro and Angel Locsin were delighted with the win of their co-stars. “Even though I didn’t win, just the thought of getting nominated for the Best Comedy Actress category is overwhelming for a first timer in comedy,” said Angel.

ABS-CBN dominates 26th PMPC Star Awards for TV (2012)

ABS-CBN emerged as the most awarded TV network at the 26 th  PMPC Star Awards for Television Sunday night after the Kapamilya Network bagged 31 awards, including the Best TV station for the fourth consecutive year.

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) also recognized broadcast journalist Tina Monzon-Palma with the Excellence in Broadcasting special award. Monzon-Palma can be seen regularly weeknights in “The World Tonight,” 10 PM on ANC.

2012 PMPC Star Awards for TV – Winners List

The 2012 PMPC Star Awards for Television was held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater of Ateneo de Manila University on Sunday, November 18. It was hosted by Aga Muhlach, Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga.

ABS-CBN was a big winner with majority of the awards going to the shows and talents of the network and that includes the Best TV Station trophy. Only a few awards were handed out to GMA-7 and TV5.

The 2012 PMPC Star Awards for TV is fast approaching, and the race for Best Actor and Best Actress awards are much-awaited because included in the list of nominees are some of the country’s finest actors.

Coco Martin, Gerald Anderson, Jericho Rosales, Richard Gomez and Piolo Pascual are all nominated for the top male acting award, while Dawn Zulueta, Janice de Belen, Susan Roces and Nora Aunor are vying for the top female acting trophy.
