Christian Bautista, who is not only popular in the Philippines as a singer but in other parts of Southeast Asia as well, made some buzz in The Jakarta Post for allegedly having been deported from Indonesia for "violating immigration regulations by using his visiting visa to work."
Christian was reported to have a 30-day visiting visa since Wednesday, January 25, but he was found holding a concert at Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang on Wednesday evening.
The website also reported that the Filipino singer was questioned by immigration officers from 9 AM to 11 AM on Friday.
But then we saw Christian on ASAP last Sunday where he said he would be going back to Indonesia for a concert on Valentine's Day.
STAGES, the talent management that handles Christian's showbiz career, denied that Christian was deported and said that the immigration problems encountered by the singer had already been legally settled.
