The family drama was originally planned to run for only 13 weeks. But due to its consistent high ratings, the show was given extensions and its story was given interesting subplots which paved the way to the appearance of more characters.

The series is topbilled by Ms. Gloria Romero, Camille Prats, Roderick Paulate and Mark Anthony Fernandez with Luz Valdez, Gabby Eigenmann, Ynez Veneracion, Leandro Baldemor and a bunch of talented kids namely Mona Louise Rey, Kyle Ocampo and Barbara Miguel.

Katrina Halili, Joyce Ching and Kristoffer Martin were part of the original cast but their characters had an early exit. New characters were introduced later in the show portrayed by Boots Anson-Roa, Robert Arevalo, Bobby Andrews, Andrea del Rosario, Migs Cuaderno and Monmon Domingo, the boy with cerebral palsy.

The teleserye is engaging, its actors top caliber. Proof is the recent win of the show's lead antagonist Gabby Eigenmann for Best Supporting Actor at the recent Golden Screen Awards.

Directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes, catch the remaining Munting Heredera episodes in its new timeslot right after 24 Oras on GMA Telebabad.
