Phillip Phillips performed his new single titled Gone, Gone, Gone at the Today Show on November 27. The song is included in his debut album titled The World From The Side Of The Moon.

Jessica Sanchez performed on the Today Show on Thursday morning, May 31, 2012. She sang two of her most popular American Idol 11 contest pieces, Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You and Jennifer Holliday’s And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.

During the interview, the Filipino-Mexican singer said she was proud of Phillip Phillips for winning the contest, but was most definitely proud of herself as well.

Phillip Phillips’ surgery postponed!

American Idol 11 winner Phillip Phillips’ surgery has been postponed, according to TMZ.

The reschedule of the kidney surgery was due to the high fever brought about by a bad sinus infection. TMZ also reported that the surgery will push through early next week, given that the singer doesn’t have fever anymore.

American Idol 11 finale was all suspense and excitement but the scene stealer of the night did not come from the season’s top two but from two of the finalists of the previous seasons.

Ace Young, season 5 finalist, stole the show when he proposed to Diana Degarmo, season 3 runner-up, right on the Idol stage.

Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez performed her potential winning song titled Change Nothing at round 3 of American Idol 11 finale performance show.

It was the show’s resident mentor, Jimmy Iovine, who assigned the potential winning songs to the contestants and I must admit the song was again perfect for Jessica’s vocals.

Jessica Sanchez picked The Prayer for round 2 of American Idol 11 finale performance show. It was the contestant’s favorite song of the season for the round and she sang that song during the top 25 week.

The song was definitely designed for Jessica’s voice. It gave her the chance to go soft and, at the same time, to show her vocal range.

Phillip Phillips was the second to perform. After Jessica Sanchez’s powerhouse rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing, he went soft with the Ben E. King classic Stand By Me.

It was Simon Fuller’s pick for Phillip and he made the full use of the song to go melodious and give a heartfelt performance while playing the guitar. A fan was carrying a banner that says “Pheel Better Phillip.” The contestant had been reported to have kidney problems but waived surgery until after the show’s finale.

In front of 7,000 fans inside the Nokia Theatre, Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips performed for America’s votes. They did three songs each – Simon Fuller’s pick, the contestant’s pick, and their potential winner’s song.

Phillip won the coin toss and he chose to go second so Jessica performed first with Simon Fuller’s song pick for her – Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing. She killed it by going soft at the beginning then going full vocals from the middle up till the end with occasional growls that made the audience wild.

AI 11: Will it be Jessica Sanchez or Phillip Phillips? [Finale Teaser]

The first of American Idol 11’s two-night finale is happening Tuesday night (Wednesday morning in Manila).

The final two contestants, Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, will sing three songs - (1) the contestants’ favorite song of the series; (2) a song chosen by Simon Fuller; and (3) their individual new single.

Jennifer Lopez’s Manila concert is set; producers hopeful for a Jessica Sanchez opening act

N91 Live Productions revealed that they are optimistic in bringing in Jessica Sanchez to open for the Jennifer Lopez Lopez on November 24, 2012.

Aside from the American Idol connection of the two, Jessica is also a voice student of Irene Mamangon, wife of N91’s CEO Jun Lorenz Mamangon.
