Heidi Klum files for divorce from Seal; wants to have primary custody of the kids

Heidi Klum, host of Project Runway, has formally filed for divorce from husband Seal, on April 6, at Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Last January, the two released a joint statement saying that confirmed the speculations of their separation.

The two met in 2004 and got married in Mexico the following year. They had 3 kids – Henry Gunther, 6, Johan Riley, 5, and Lou, 2.

Klum previously got married to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino. She also had a daughter (Leni, 7) with Italian entrepreneur Flavio Briatore. She met Seal while she's pregnant with Leni and he was present when she gave birth. Seal, 48, later adopted the child.

Heidi reportedly wanted primary physical custody of the 4 kids, with Seal having visitation rights.

The two were known to renew their vows every year during their anniversary. It's just so sad that there won't be any more ceremony on their supposed 7th year on May 10th.

Katy Perry and Russel Brand's divorce to be finalized in July

The divorce of Katy Perry and Russel Brand has been granted but they won't be officially single until July due to the California law stating that couples have to wait at least six months after filing before divorce can be finalized.

Superior Court Judge Marc Marmaro signed the divorce on February 8th, a day after Perry filed paperwork that proved she and Brand have already agreed on the financial issues.

The terms of the divorce settlement have not been revealed.

The English actor and the Teenage Dream singer first met when Perry did a cameo appearance in Brand's movie Get Him to the Greek in 2008. They met again in September 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards and began dating after that.

Project Runway host Heidi Klum and musician  Seal have confirmed the speculations of their separation by releasing a joint statement last Sunday. It reads:

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate,” the couple wrote. “We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

Heidi Klum and Seal are planning to file a divorce in Los Angeles this coming week, according to TMZ. Heidi, 38, will reportedly cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason.

No statement has been released yet by either party and that somehow made the rumor more controversial. It has been trending on Twitter since it broke out.
