ABS-CBN has released an official statement regarding the network's decision to put Happy Yipee Yehey off air.
The farewell episode of the noontime show, which happens on February 4, 2012 at the AFP Theater, will feature the grand finals of My Girl.
The network expresses gratitude to all the Kapamilya in and outside the country who supported the show throughout its airing.
The noontime show started airing on February 12, 2011. In its short run, it has won as Best Noontime Show in the Ateneo de Manila University Dangal ng Bayan Awards. The show has also received nominations from the 2011 Anak TV Seal Awards (Most Favorite TV Program), 25th PMPC Star Awards for TV (Best Variety Show) and 2011 Golden Screen Awards (Outstanding Variety Show).
According to ABS-CBN Corporate Communications head Bong Osorio, the hosts of the show will be given other projects that will surely be loved by televiewers as well.
What show would replace Happy Yipee Yehey wasn't mentioned in the statement but talks about Showtime filling in the timeslot to be left by HYY has been circulating. Luis Manzano's Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, on the other hand, will be aired right after Kris TV and will take the place of Showtime's current timeslot.
