Jessica Sanchez is already at work on her debut album!

The Filipino-Mexican-American revealed the news through a message she posted on her official Twitter account, to the excitement of her fans.

“At the stuuuuudio recording some amazing tracks for the upcoming album ;) <3.”

The album is under Interscope Records and will be released sometime in October.

Jessica rose to fame when she joined the 11th season of the hit Fox singing reality show American Idol, in which she ended as the runner-up.

Aside from the album, she is also busy preparing for the American Idol Tour which kicks off in Detroit on July 6th.

Recently, news about her joining the hit television musical Glee has also surfaced. Producers are reportedly interested in giving her a recurring guest role in the show’s fourth season. (Read the story here.)

Jessica’s fans in the Philippines are also excited to see the 16-year-old powerhouse as the American Idol Tour will stage its finale in the Philippines on September 21 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Aside from the London leg, Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4 is going to hold auditions at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City on January 6 and 13, 2012. To qualify, you must be 13-17 years old.
