Top artists gather for 3rd Tambayan OPM Awards

Top OPM artists in the country will gather for the 3rd Tambayan OPM Awards by ABS-CBN FM radio station Tambayan 101.9 to honor and highlight outstanding Filipino artists and song writers in the local music industry this past year this Saturday (June 30) in SM City North EDSA SkyDome.

Yeng Constantino, Ney Dimaculangan, Ruben Caballero ng Cueshe, Cathy Go, Barbie Almalbis, Angeline Quinto, Marcelito Pomoy, Gloc9, Jovit Baldevino, Kitchie Nadal, Bugoy Drilon, Liezel Garcia, Bryan Termulo, Mike Hanopol, Pepe Smith and Vice Ganda will be performing at the TOPMA Awards.

Real-life couple Maja Salvador and Mateo Guidicelli will also grace the event together with your favorite Tambayan 101.9 DJs.

After weeks of voting, Tambayan 101.9 will unveil eleven winners in eleven distinct categories based on 30% listener’s votes, 30% votes from the select panel of judges, and 40% from the TOPMA awards committee. Each nominee will be adjudged based on the following criteria: commercial appeal, musicality, and originality/creativity.

The next recipient of the Tambayani Award will also be recognized alongside the first ever recipient of the Phenomenal Artist of the Year award. The former is given to an artist and/or song writer who has helped change the OPM industry and has been a true champion of Filipino music while the latter is awarded to the OPM artist who had the most successful career in the previous year.

Tambayan 101.9 is currently on its third year of recognizing Pinoy artistry in music. Recently, TOPMA took home an Anvil award from the prestigious Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). TOPMA successfully paid tribute to Filipino music artists by honoring original Pinoy music and engaged its listeners and provided an avenue for its DJ’s to interact with them during the awarding event.

This year’s TOPMA is now bigger as Tambayan 101.9 partners with all the 16 M.O.R. FM stations of ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, to promote and encourage listeners to vote for their favorite songs or music artists.
