Ruffa Gutierrez answered the apology given by Mr. Fu regarding the disrespect she felt during the June 23 episode of TV5’s Paparazzi Showbiz Exposed that caused her resignation.
I am not one to hold grudges but may this never happen to anyone ever again,” Ruffa said. “I‘m sure we‘ll be seeing each other soon and we‘ll be working together again. Till then. More blessings!"
The response was to the apology released by Mr. Fu last Sunday. It was read over the Radio 5 program Showbiz FM.
“I apologize to Ruffa if she got offended,” Mr. Fu said. “For the record, I did not mention any foul terms in Paparazzi’s ‘Bulong’ segment. It was the same question that I asked other guests who became part of the segment.”
Ruffa and Mr. Fu co-host Paparazzi together with Cristy Fermin, Zoren Legaspi and, during that time, guest co-host Mariel Rodriguez.
In the Bulong Ng Palad segment of the show, the hosts would alternately whisper their questions to the guest and the guest will, in turn, answer the questions out loud choosing from a set of multiple choice answers. Since it was her birthday celebration episode, Ruffa was the “guest” that time. Among the choices she had to choose her answers from were the names of Aga Muhlach, Zoren and Robin Padilla - three men who were romantically involved with her in the past.
The segment had a naughty touch to it and it was what allegedly made Ruffa uncomfortable, not to mention the fact that Zoren was there as a co-host, as well as Mariel, the wife of Robin.

“The writers and staff did not intend to ruin her birthday celebration,” Mr. Fu further said in his statement of apology. “It was all for fun, but again I am sorry if things turned out this way. I am still proud of our show ‘Paparazzi’ because I know I am working with hardworking and talented people. All the best to all of us!”
