Lee Min Ho is a bodyguard from the past in 'Faith'

Korean superstar Lee Min Ho will portray a warrior from the past with magical powers in the new telenovela “Faith” to be shown exclusively on ABS-CBNmobile beginning October 20.

“Faith” is the story of Choi Young, a royal bodyguard of a king in the past, and Yoo Eun-soo, a female doctor in modern times. When the queen was seriously injured, Choi Young was sent by the king to go through the magical portal to get “heaven’s doctor,” which happens to be a doctor from the future named Eun-soo.

Kantar Media National TV Ratings (Aug 30) - ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ finale ranks 10th

The finale of ABS-CBN’s That Winter, The Wind Blows won over its rival shows on Friday, August 30, 2013, based on Kantar Media’s data. The Tagalog-dubbed South Korean drama got 12..7% national rating, making it to primetime’s Top 10.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya primetime shows ruled the overall ratings lead by Juan Dela Cruz with 34.9%, and followed by Got To Believe with 31.9%. Muling Buksan Ang Puso might have had a decrease in viewership but it still remained 4th overall with 22.8%.

'The Love Story Of Kang Chi' premieres Aug 19 (VIDEO)

The Korean fantasy-drama, The Love Story Of Kang Chi, will premiere this Monday (August 19) on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold (afternoon block). It takes over the 5 PM timeslot of Absolute Boyfriend which airs its final episode on Aug. 16.

Also known by the titles Gu Family Book and Kang Chi, The Beginning, the series has just recently finished its original run in South Korea’s MBC, where it premiered just last April 8. It aired twice a week, Monday and Tuesday nights, and ended on June 25.

Kantar Media National TV Ratings (Apr 22) - Korean drama ‘Missing You’ debuts strongly

The pilot episode of ABS-CBN’s Tagalog-dubbed version of Missing You on Monday, April 22, 2013, beat its rival Kapuso program, another Korean drama The Greatest Love, based on Kantar Media’s data.

Replacing Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw in its late primetime slot, the Kapamilya program got 14.4% national rating compared to its Kapuso rival which only got 9.4%.

GMA-7 has released their lineup of Koreanovelas for 2013 which includes six of the newest Korean series that televiewers will surely fall in love with. The list includes:

Plot: 18-year-old Kang Gyung-Joon's (Shin Won-Ho) spirit suddenly finds itself in the body of 30-year-old Seo Yoon Jae (Gong Yoo) . Seo-Yon-Jae is a successful doctor and engaged to high school teacher Gil Da-Ran (Lee Min-Jung). Gil Da-Ran just so happens to be the teacher of 18-year old Kang Gyung-Joon. More problems ensue when 30-year-old Seo Yoon Jae falls in love with another woman (Bae Suzy).

“Rooftop Prince” premieres January 7 on ABS-CBN – Trailer (Video)

Rooftop Prince will be the first Korean series offering of ABS-CBN for 2013. It stars Micky Yoochun, Choi Won Hong, Han Ji Min, Jun Min Seo,Lee Tae Sung, Jung Yoo Mi, Kim So Hyun, and Lee Min Ho.

The Tagalog-dubbed version of Rooftop Prince, also known as Attic Prince, will premiere on January 7 in ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold (afternoon) block. It originally aired in Korea’s SBS from March to May 2012.
