Heart Evangelista reveals cover of her children's book

Heart Evangelista will soon be launching her first children's book and she gave a sneak peek of its cover on Instagram.

Titled "Daughter of the Sun and the Moon," Heart was the book's illustrator while handcrafted bag designer Rocio Olbes wrote the story.

In the photo's caption, the "Beautiful Strangers" star revealed that the book will be out this November.

Miriam Defensor Santiago's 2nd "Stupid" book is no. 1 bestseller again

Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago has done it again. Her second book, “Stupid is Forevermore” has repeated the success of “Stupid is Forever” as it soared to the number one spot only a month after its release nationwide, based on data from National Book Store.

In National Book Store’s July bestsellers, “Stupid is Forevermore” ranks first on the list of bestsellers in the Philippine publication category. The data is based on the number of copies that are sold in all National Book Store branches as well as online purchases made in National Book Store’s website (nationalbookstore.com.ph).

J.K. Rowling hides under pseudonym, revealed as author of crime novel

J.K. Rowling has been outed by The Sunday Times newspaper that she has hidden behind a pseudonym to publish a critically acclaimed novel.

Rowling, who rose to fame for her Harry Potter series of books, immediately admitted that it was indeed her who wrote The Cuckoo’s Calling under the name of Robert Galbraith.

Book Signing at the Star Magic Catalogue 2012 Launch on Oct. 9

Star Magic is launching the Star Magic Catalogue this Sunday, October 9, 4 PM to 6 PM at Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street.

In line with that, Star Magic talents are going to the event to have your copies signed. Among those who will be gracing the event are Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Yeng Constantino, JM De Guzman, Melissa Ricks, Lauren young, Enrique Gil, Martin Del Rosario, Matteo Guidicelli, Rafael Rosell, Angelica Panganiban, Bea Alonzo, Joem Bascon, Ejay Falcon, Empress, Diego Loyzaga, Daniel Padilla and many more.

Only the first 150 people to arrive at the event will be given a signing pass. You should have your catalogue and the receipt with you as requirements. Only the catalogues bought in Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street on October 8 and 9 will be honored, though.

The limited-edition cover of the Star Magic Catalogue will be sold at Fully Booked this weekend only (Oct 8-9) so you better get your copies before the launch if you wanna have the chance to have it signed.

Nicholas Sparks to Visit Manila in October

Nicholas Sparks, the bestselling author whose novels have been adapted into movies, is coming to Manila in October for two-day visit.

Sparks is most popular for the books "The Notebook," "Message in a Bottle," "A Walk to Remember," and "Dear John."

His visit to the country is in connection with the Manila release of his latest novel titled "The Best of Me" this September.  He will hold an autograph signing session on the two days that he will be staying in the country, as confirmed by Powerbooks in their Facebook page.

“Due to the large number of inquiries we have received, we would like to confirm that Powerbooks and National Book Store will be hosting Nicholas Sparks for a book-signing tour in October here in Manila," Powerbooks posted.

Nicholas Sparks also confirmed his arrival in his Twitter account by posting, “I don't know where my events are, but I'll be in the Philippines on Oct. 27-28th ... and yes, I'll be signing ..."

The author even made his PInoy fans more excited by twitting in Tagalog, saying that he has an aunt from Manila. "Aking tiyahin ay mula sa Maynila.Siya itinuro sa akin," Sparks twitted, then added, "I tried to say that my aunt is from Manila ... she used to talk to me and taught me to say some stuff. My aunt ... she didn't set out to teach me. I just listened to her talk to her mom and her sisters ... I know I get lots of stuff wrong ... and please, if I see you in Manila, talk slow so I can understand you ... I'm no expert ..."

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" – Final Trailer; J.K. Rowling's New Website Called "Pottermore"

Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the final trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. which is showing July 15, 2011 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D. Directed by David Yates, the movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

Although fans of the series are much excited to see this final Harry Potter film, the question is, would it really be the last?

If you base it on the publication of the book, you would think that it is the last considering that it had been 5 years since the last book was published. But perhaps to tickle our fancy and to make us crave for more, the Harry Potter series' author J.K. Rowling came up with this new website called Pottermore.
