Jericho Rosales to star in TV drama and comedy movie in 2014

Jericho Rosales will be very visible on both television and the movies next year.

Aside from The Legal Wife, an upcoming ABS-CBN primetime series he topbills opposite Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador, he will also reportedly star in a book-based movie that is also set for a 2014 release.

They have already begun taping for the ABS-CBN teleserye last October and despite being a heavy drama, Jericho revealed the set is so much fun because of Maja.

“Masaya,” he told abs-cbnnews.com. “Intense ‘yung plot pero sa set namin, masaya kami. Kalog si Maja sobra,”

According to Jericho, the series “focuses on marital relationships. Love story siya pero medyo malalim, medyo intense. It’s a great subject matter. Kami ni Angel ang mag-partner.”

Meanwhile, the movie is based on the Bob Ong book, Aba Nakakabasa Na Pala Ako. It is the first of the three-picture contract he signed with Viva Films last September.

It will surely be a comedy, and by being based on a locally-published popular book, one couldn’t help but be reminded of the recent Kim Chiu-Xian Lim Star Cinema movie, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?, which was also based on the book written by Ramon Bautista, Jr.

Also starring Andi Eigenmann, Vandolph and Meg Imperial, Jericho said the movie is set to be shown in January.
