"My Little Bossings" makes P50-M on opening day

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the top four most-watched movies on the opening day of the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) that opened on Christmas Day, December 25, 2013.

Topping the list was the comedy movie "My Little Bossings" starring Ryzza Mae Dizon, Bimby Yap, Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto. No less than the Philippine President Noynoy Aquino (Bimby's uncle) watched the movie on its opening day.

The Queen of All Media even took to Instagram to say thank you to everyone that supported her son's acting debut.

"Thank you for the support & love you gave Bimby & @ryzzamaechacha... Bimby & Ryzza now hold the box office record for highest opening day gross for a Filipino movie... Thank You for the best Christmas gift! Thank you for loving our kids! #mylittlebossings Good Night," she posted.

Second in the list of first day top grossers was the Vice Ganda-starrer "Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy. The comedian is seen in the movie in quadruple roles. It was directed by the box-office director Wenn Deramas.

Third was "Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay," the only horror movie in this year's list of festival entries. Starring the hottest love team today, the fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla made sure it would be one of the most-watched this year.

Fourth in the list was "Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel." It stars ace comedienne Eugene Domingo in a dual role, together with heartthrob Sam Milby.

Meanwhile, Kris revealed the actual first day gross of "My Little Bossings" on her Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 26. She said the movie made 24,674,836.40 in Metro Manila and P25,752,858.45 in the provinces.
