It has always been a guessing game as to who will ABS-CBN pick to play the role of the mermaid Dyesebel since the network acquired the rights to the title, together with twelve other characters created by Mars Ravelo. It seems, however, that we don’t need to guess no more as Kim Chiu has been named, albeit not official, as the lucky actress to star in the mermaid story.
On her The Philippine Star column, Salve Asis wrote that the network’s final choice for the role of Dyesebel is no other than Kim. She further reported that the young actress is already training for the role and the taping will start soon.
“Si Kim Chiu pala ang final choice para maging Dyesebel ng ABS-CBN. Kasalukuyan na raw nagti-training si Kim at any moment ay magti-taping sila.”
Weeks before this piece of news came out, Kim and her love team Xian Lim revealed that they will be doing a teleserye soon and the story is something new for them. They could already be talking about Dyesebel since Kim hasn’t played a mermaid role before.
Meanwhile, Kim and Xian have an upcoming Star Cinema movie titled Bride For Rent. It is the follow-up to their hit Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo? and is set to open in cinemas on January 15, 2014.
