Unedited video of Mar Roxas and Alfred Romualdez’s meeting uploaded on YouTube (VIDEOS)

Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez was seen crying on Monday as he accuses President Noynoy Aquino and DILG Secretary Mar Roxas of “politicking” instead of helping him after the province was hit by super typhoon Yolanda.

“I was begging for help, I was willing to give in to anything. We were recovering 60 to 80 bodies a day – even until today – and I wanted additional help for that from the very beginning and we kept begging for more help. In fact, I even asked the President the second time we met,” Romualdez said.

He also said that a week after the typhoon destroyed Tacloban, and as the death toll rose to almost 3,000, Roxas allegedly asked him for an ordinance that will “legalize” the national government to do relief and rescue operations in the province.

When the mayor asked why, Roxas allegedly said, “Well, this is the gray area, that the national government is coming here and doing all these.”

A short video clip was uploaded by a certain Josemari Gonzales on YouTube, to prove that Romualdez was telling the truth. Roxas is seen in the video saying, "You have to understand, you are a Romualdez and the President is an Aquino. So we just want to legalize this. If it's not legalized, then okay you're in charge."

But Roxas said the video was spliced and edited to hide the truth.

“This spliced video conveniently hides the truth. Let the truth come out. Tigilan na ang panlilinlang,” abs-cbnnews.com quoted him as saying.

The full and unedited video of Romualdez and Roxas' meeting was then uploaded by Cito Beltran on YouTube, where Roxas is heard saying, “You have to understand, you are a Romualdez and the President is an Aquino. He is being very careful in just taking over because he doesn’t want anything to be misconstrued.”
