Apoy Sa Dagat has been ranking low in the national ratings since Ina Kapatid Anak ended. According to Kantar Media’s data on Thursday, June 20, 2013, the series ranked a low seventh in primetime with 16.9% national rating.
The passionate drama series, as it is tagged, used to normally rank fourth in the primetime Top 10. That was when the top-rating Ina Kapatid Anak, which aired in a timeslot before the Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban starrer, was still on.
Now that Ina Kapatid Anak was replaced by Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala which has been drawing less viewers on its pilot week than IKA, Apoy Sa Dagat also dropped in the rankings.
The shows that air before and after a specific program really make a difference in its ratings.
