The love team of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo will soon be seen in the big screen once again through a possible 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry. It’s not going to be another teen romance like their previous Must Be Love, though. This one will make you scream and cover your eyes as the two acts out a story with plot that centers on a popular Filipino superstition.
Produced by Skylight Films and helmed by Frasco Mortiz, Pagpag is based on the superstition of the same name, which says that one should brush off his clothes/body before going inside his house coming from a wake so as not to bring the bad spirits that might have followed him.
Kathryn and Daniel recently told Umagang Kay Ganda that they are aware of the said superstition and actually practice it.
“Actually, kapag pumupunta ako sa wake, palagi kami nagpapagpag bago umuwi,” Kathryn said.
“Bago ka naman pumasok basta magpagpag ka lang sa labas okay na ‘yon,” Daniel added.
Aside from Pagpag, KathNiel (as their love team is called) will also be seen on television soon via the series Got To Believe.
