Kim Chiu’s father has broken his silence over the rumors surrounding the Kapamilya actress that says she neglected her mom who passed away last Sunday. that stemmed from a blind item posted in a popular blog site.
According to the rumor, Kim didn’t help her mom, Louella Yap Chiu, over the years that she was ill. She allegedly didn’t even visit her mother despite the fact that she knew where she was all along.
Mrs. Chiu died on Sunday, June 23, 2013, due to aneurysm. According to reports, she fell into a coma following a heart attack a few days before the passed away. She was 50.
The blind item was posted on fashionpulis.com titled “Letter from a Reader: Carrying Her Karma.” It was in the format of a letter from one of the site’s readers.
Kim’s dad, however, revealed that Kim and her siblings didn’t know where their mother was until she went into a coma a week ago and her caretaker needed help in taking care of the hospital bills.
Upon receiving the call, Kim immediately flew to Cebu where her mom was confined in a hospital’s ICU.
According to her dad, the actress talked several times to her mom who seemed to be listening despite being in a coma. She told her that she would take her to Manila to live with the rest of her children once she gets well.
Meanwhile, Kim is currently out of the country for a commercial shoot. She couldn’t say no because the contract was signed long before the death of her mom. According to ABS-CBN News, she was hoping that the advertisers would let her finish the shoot early enough to attend her mom’s interment this Saturday.
