Kim Chiu’s mother Louella Yap Chiu has been laid to rest on Saturday, June 29, 2013. The Kapamilya actress was there along with her siblings to bid their mom their mom goodbye.
Earlier today, Kim posted on Instagram the above photo with a goodbye message to her mom. It says:
we may not have the chance to see each others faces , to talk about random things, to share my secrets to you, to have a mother/daughter bonding that i've been longing for so long but after everything that has happened im still thankful to God that i saw you before you left even if you didnt see me i know in my heart you heard me. I just hold on to the thought that you are now in a better place where there is no more pain and suffering. i love you mama always and forever.
On Twitter, user Maria Gimenez (@kimximar) posted several photos of Kim at the CemPark.
Gimenez also said that people could hear the actress crying. Her goodbye speech to her mom, however, was done in Chinese.
Mrs. Chiu died of aneurysm on Sunday, June 23, at the age of 50. According to reports, she went into a coma following a heart attack a few days before she passed away.
Kim and her siblings didn’t know where Mrs. Chiu was until a week before she died. They lost contact with her after their parents separated way before Kim entered showbiz.
When Mrs. Chiu went into a coma, her caretaker contacted her children to ask for help with the hospital bills.
Kim’s father said in an earlier interview that Kim immediately flew to Cebu and went to the hospital when she learned what happened. She cried and talked several times to her mom who seemed to hear her. Among the things the actress told her mother was taking her to Manila once she gets well. Kim had wanted her mom to live with her and the rest of the family. Sadly, that didn’t happen.
The Ultimate Fan extends its condolences to Kim Chiu and to the family and loved ones of Louella Y. Chiu. May she rest in peace.
