Suspension of Classes - June 18, 2013

Due to heavy rains, some cities and schools in Metro Manila have suspended their afternoon classes on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

According to GMA Flash Report, San Juan City mayor Guia Gomez has already announced suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schools.

Likewise,the University of Santo Tomas (UST) has also suspended classes in high school, college, and postgraduate levels as well as office work effective 3:00 PM. According to a tweet message by school publication The Varsitarian, everyone should have already left the campus by 4:00 PM

“Classes in the HS, college, and postgraduate levels as well as office work will be cancelled from 3pm onwards today, June 18." -OSG

“The campus must be vacated by 4pm. The Colleges are advised to ensure that the missed class activities are made-up for.” -OSG re suspension

Here are the list of areas that has announced suspension of classes on Tuesday, June 18:

  • San Juan City - all levels, public and private
  • Manila - all levels, public and private

Schools:

  • University of Santo Tomas (UST) - all levels and offices effective 3 PM
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) - all levels and offices effective 3 PM
  • San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) - all levels effective 4 PM
  • Saint Jude Catholic School - elementary and high school effective 3:30 PM; early childhood effective 3:00 PM
  • Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) - all levels effective 4:30 PM
  • Philippine Women’s University (PWU) - all levels and offices effective 4 PM
  • Far Eastern University (FEU) - all levels effective 4 PM
  • De La Salle University (DLSU) Metro Manila campuses - all levels and offices effective 4:20 PM
  • Adamson University (AdU) - all levels effective 4:00 PM
  • University of the East (UE) Manila - all levels and offices effective 4 PM
  • St. Scholastica’s College (SSC) - effective 4:30 PM
  • De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) - effective 4:20 PM
  • Manila Central University (MCU) - effective 4 PM
  • University of the Philippines, Manila (UPM) - classes and offices cancelled as of 4:15 PM

PBB Teen Edition 4 Audition at MOA on January 6 & 13

Aside from the London leg, Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4 is going to hold auditions at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City on January 6 and 13, 2012. To qualify, you must be 13-17 years old. Just bring your birth certificate to the audition venue along with a friend, relative or family member who is at least 20 years old.
