Angel Locsin will reportedly be back on primetime television via a drama series later this year.
With a working title of Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin, the series will be directed by Rory Quintos and Dado Lumibao and will also have Maja Salvador, Jake Cuenca and Jericho Rosales in the lead roles.
Seems like a nice year for Angel. Aside from this news, her Four Sisters And A Wedding movie is also set to open in theaters on June 26.
To add to that, she has been receiving best actress awards for her role in One More Try which was shown in last December’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
But Angel’s last primetime series was Imortal three years ago. I guess it’s high time that she gets a TV series because her dramatic acting skills is being put to waste in Toda Max, though it’s in the sitcom where she showed us that she can be an effective comedienne, too.
Meanwhile, Maja seems to be getting good projects from ABS-CBN. She has just recently starred opposite Kim Chiu in the top-rating Ina Kapatid Anak which ended June 14th. I wonder if Kim also has a follow-up project already lined up for her.
We also miss seeing Jake Cuenca act. We miss the time when he has an afternoon soap (Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo) and a primetime series (Kahit Puso’y Masugatan) all at the same time.
Jericho, on the other hand, has just received a Gawad Urian best actor award for his role in the indie movie Alagwa. His last primetime series was last year’s Dahil Sa Pag-ibig opposite Piolo Pascual and Cristine Reyes.
With this big a cast, Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin seems to be the primetime series to watch out for.
