‘Ekstra’ starring Vilma Santos - New trailer released! (Video)

The trailer for Ekstra starring Vilma Santos has been released a few days back and I must say the Star For All Seasons still has it. Her acting, as shown in the 1:48 long video, is impeccable and I can’t wait to see the full movie.

Marian Rivera, Piolo Pascual, Pilar Pilapil and Cherie Gil are also in the cast. Doing cameo appearances as shown in the trailer are Eula Valdez, Richard Yap and Cherry Pie Picache.

Directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, Ekstra is one of the official entries to the Directors Showcase category of Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival 2013.

It tells the story of Loida (Vilma) who makes a living out of being a bit player in TV programs. Her biggest break was playing a maid in the fictitious soap opera titled Una Kang Naging Akin Book II starring Marian, Piolo and Cherie.

Cinemalaya happens from July 26 to August 4 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), TriNoma, and Greenbelt cinemas.
