'Starting Over Again' earns P150M in 4 days, now in over 270 cinemas nationwide

Starting Over Again is breaking records as the movie grossed P150 million after just four days of showing, as revealed on Sunday over Buzz Ng Bayan.


Starring Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga and Iza Calzado, the Star Cinema-produced movie opened in cinemas on February 12, 2014. It was so well-received by moviegoers that it earned P25 million on its first day alone.

By Saturday, it was reported that it has already breached the P100 million mark as of February 14. It was definitely made a date movie by those who celebrated Valentine's Day.

On Sunday morning, it was revealed that the Olivia M. Lamasan-helmed romantic comedy already earned P150 million as of Saturday, Feb. 15.

Mico del Rosario, Star Cinema's advertising and promotions manager, took to Instagram to thank everyone who have watched the movie.

"This is truly a record-breaker! Marami pong salamat sa inyong lahat mula sa bumubuo ng Star Cinema! Themovieis now showing in over 270 cinemas nationwide," he said.

Gonzaga and Pascual are currently in the U.S. for the international showing of the movie. It is reportedly also doing well over there as Star Cinema's Instagram posts show.

It also seems like the number of cinemas showing the movie are growing by the day. The movie started with over 150 cinemas, then grew to 210+ cinemas, and now, as del Rosario posted, Pinoys can already watch Starting Over Again in over 270 cinemas.
