Vice Ganda supports Vhong Navarro, takes oath before leaving for US

Vice Ganda took oath at the Pasig Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday in support of Vhong Navarro who was recently charged with another rape case.

The latest rape case was filed by former pageant contestant Roxanne Cabañero who stated that Navarro raped her inside his vehicle on the night of April 24, 2010.

However, Vice Ganda said Navarro was with him on the night of April 24 in a show in Cavite.

The show was titled "May Nag-Txt, May Concert Ako" at Island Cove. Kean Cipriano and the Streetboys were also among the performers.

Vice Ganda took oath even before Navarro filed his counter-affidavit because he would be leaving for the U.S. tonight for his show on Feb. 28.

"I have to do this now kasi aalis ako. Pupunta ako ng Amerika mamaya," he told abs-cbnnews.com. "The moment na mag-file si Vhong ng counter-affidavit niya, baka wala ako. E, kakailanganin ang statement ko kaya kailangan kong ipasa ang statement ko."

He also said that he was not pressured because he just said what he knows.

"Wala namang masyadong pressure, wala namang masyadong stress. Sinabi ko lang naman yung alam ko," he further said.

Meanwhile, aside from the discrepancy on the date of the alleged rape, the management of the Astoria Plaza Hotel in Pasig told Buzz Ng Bayan on Sunday that Cabañero and the other contestants of Slimmer's World Bikini Open 2010 didn't stay at their hotel.

According to Cabañero's statement, they were staying at the Astoria Plaza and it's where Navarro picked her up before the alleged rape happened.
