Hotel contradicts Roxanne Cabañero's statement

The management of Astoria Plaza said Roxanne Cabañero and the other contestants of the bikini open she joined did not stay in their hotel as was stated in Cabañero's sworn affidavit.

According to Cabañero, comedian-TV host Vhong Navarro texted her on April 24, 2010 wanting to meet with her in her hotel room in Astoria where the contestants of the Slimmer's World Bikini Open were staying. She declined because she was with other candidates.

In an interview with Boy Abunda in Buzz Ng Bayan on Sunday, February 23, 2014, the hotel's project director Ric Valenzuela said it couldn't have been possible.

"That event (bikini open) was offered to us but unfortunately the event organizer was asking for too many rooms because of the candidates. We could not accommodate them all. We have limited rooms here. We declined the offer of the promotion," Valenzuela said.

He also said that he himself negotiated with the bikini open's event organizer that's why he is sure the hotel wasn't used by its contestants that year.

"They decided to transfer to another hotel. We did the negotiations with the event manager but it didn't push through… That one is confirmed because I was the one who negotiated for that. Confirmed na we declined because we cannot provide the rooms," he said.

He added that just to make sure, the hotel recently checked their database from April 22-25, 2010 and found no Roxanne Cabañero. But then he said it could also be possible that another person checked in for her or she was just a guest of one of their clients.

According to Cabañero's affidavit, after declining to meet Navaro in her hotel room, the actor just picked her up in his car, where the rape allegedly happened around midnight.

Meanwhile, aside from this discrepancy, it was earlier reported that Navarro was with his It's Showtime co-host Vice Ganda in a concert in Cavite that night of April 24, reason why the alleged rape seem very impossible to have occurred.
