James Yap texted former wife Kris Aquino on her birthday disregarding the latter's Permanent Protection Order issued by the court against the basketball star.
On Aquino & Abunda Tonight on Monday, Aquino also revealed that Yap thanked her for being the best mother for their child, Bimby.
"James actually text me and greeted me, deadma sa PPO (permanent protection order). Sinabi lang niya, 'Happy birthday, Kris. Thank you for being the best mom to Bimby.' Di ko alam ang number niya. So I said, 'Who is this please?' Then sinagot ako three hours after, 'James.' Then nag-reply ako, 'Yap?' Sorry 'di talaga ako sure. After that sabi niya, 'Yes.' So sabi ko, 'Alagaan mo 'yung dalawang bata and please huwag mong awayin kasi building bridges ito ngayon,'" she said.
The Queen of All Media also said she was teary-eyed looking at the photos of Bimby and Joshua Aquino (her oldest son with actor Philip Salvador) while celebrating with Yap for his 32nd birthday last Saturday.
"Honest to God when the yayas were sending me all the pictures na nung silang tatlo magkakasama. nung tinignan ko sila -- and this was in Singapore -- naiyak ako. Sa totoo lang, kasi parang we took so long to reach this point for both of us and it took so long for me to feel comfortable already. Siguro all it took is for James to acknowledge na mabuting nanay talaga ako kay Bimb and nung binigay niya sa akin 'yon, handang handa akong ibigay sa kanya na magkaroon sila ng magandang relationship," she added.
On Yap's birthday, Bimby reportedly gave him a card with a handwritten message saying: "I wish you can get married very soon."
According to Aquino, Yap asked her if she was the one who taught Bimby to write that.
"Tinanong pa nga niya kung ako ang nagturo doon sa 'I hope you get married soon.' Hindi, kay Bimb talaga nanggaling 'yon kasi nga we all have acceptance," Aquino said.
And if Bimby wishes for his father to get married, he also gave his approval for his mother to have a boyfriend again but in one condition: no more breaking up.
"And Bimb told me something wonderful kanina. 'Mama, because you brought me home my games I want you to be happy, you can already have boyfriend but no breaking up.' Hindi ba ang cute kasi ang six year-old gusto ng kaligayahan para sa dalawang magulang. 'Yun lang ang hiniling niya, huwag niyo nang guluhin kung papasok kayo sa relasyon make sure for keeps," the TV host said.
