Deniece Cornejo says Vhong Navarro raped her twice

Deniece Cornejo said she was raped twice by Vhong Navarro in her counter-affidavit submitted to the Department of Justice prosecution panel.

The model said she was first raped by the comedian-TV host on January 17, 2014 inside the Forbeswood Heights condo unit where she was staying.

An aggressive Navarro allegedly lunged at her. She tried her best to push him away to no avail. She was begging him to stop.

Questions as to why Cornejo didn't tell about the alleged first rape incident are putting more doubts into those who are following the controversial issue.

But Cornejo's lawyer, Atty. Howard Calleja, said she should be given "leeway and understanding" for telling about the alleged Jan. 17 rape incident only now.

The same lawyer, however, told ANC's Headstart that nothing happened between Navarro and Cornejo on Jan. 17, belying Navarro's statements that he made out with the model in her condo unit on that date.

"That is not true, even if pinagmamalaking may nangyari si Vhong. Baka to him, in his mind, gusto niyang may mangyari. But really, nothing happened," Calleja said, as quoted by abs-cbnnews.com.

Meanwhile, on Monday night during her guesting in Aquino & Abunda Tonight, Atty. Lorna Kapunan said she doubts that Cornejo was raped twice by the It's Showtime host, pointing out that you wouldn't invite a man to come to your place the second time if he has raped you before.

"The circumstance that puts the credence to question is kung na-rape ka, bakit mo iimbitahin uli? That's my personal and legal opinion," Kapunan said.

She also noted how Cornejo changed her story.

"Ang problema, you cannot change theory midway. Kasi ang first na sinabi nila is attempted rape… naging consummated rape. Noong nagkaroon na sila ng abogado, si Atty. Howie [Calleja], nag-iba na sila ng theory that there was consummated rape on the on the first day, January 17," she said.
