'Unfriend' starring Sandino Martin, showing Feb. 26 (Trailer)

Sandino Martin stars Unfriend as a disturbed homosexual in his teens who meets and falls in love with another teen male through the social networking site, Facebook.

The movie was inspired by the real life story of the 13-year-old gay who shot his 16-year-old male lover before shooting himself inside SM Pampanga in 2011.

Disturbing it may seem, the movie shows us the big role of social media in the life of today's generation.

Martin plays the role of David who is openly gay and lives with his grandmother while his parents work abroad.

Martin started acting with Dulaang UP then eventually joined Atlantis Productions and PETA. Some of the musical plays he starred in include PIAF with Pinky Amador and Katipunan with Anna Fegi.

Meanwhile, David, his lover in the movie, is played by Angelo Ilagan who was recently seen on television as Bryce in GMA-7's defunct afternoon series, Magkano Ba Ang Pag-ibig.

The movie required both Martin and Ilagan to show skin, reason why it is rated R-18.

Directed by Jay Altarejos, Unfriend is showing on February 26, 2014.
