The character actor, whose real name is Leandro Delantar Alvarez, died of cardiac arrest.
He was last seen as Don Manolo Quintana in GMA-7's afternoon series Villa Quintana. He plays a major part in the series that's why the story is said to undergo a big twist soon.
Aside from being an actor, he is also a director and scriptwriter for film, television and theater, and a lecturer and speaker on Consciousness Development, Inner and Outer Ecology, Healing Mother Earth and Zero Waste Management.
Alvarez was born March 23, 1950 in Pagbilao, Quezon. He also takes special interest in the Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).
This is the second celebrity death this year, following the tragic death of Tado in a bus accident in the Mountain Province.
