'Starting Over Again' breaches P300M in 12 days

Star Cinema's Starting Over Again is just on its second week, but it has already breached the P300 million mark.

The news was revealed by one of the movie's stars, Iza Calzado, during her guesting in Buzz Ng Bayan on Sunday, February 23, 2014.

According to the actress, the Olivia M. Lamasan-helmed film has breached the P300M mark in just 12 days.

In Starting Over Again, Calzado plays the role of Patty, Marco's (Piolo Pascual) girlfriend when he and his former lover, Ginny (Toni Gonzaga), met again after four years and are forced to work with each other. Ginny falls in love again with the man from her past that she left with nary an explanation, and she tries to win him back.

Calzado's role is a short one, but she said Lamasan took good care of her character.

"My role is not really lengthy. Pero inalaagan din ako ni Inang (Lamasan). Nung pinanood namin, maganda yung balanse ng pelikula. And maganda yung pagtanggap ng mga tao, so thank you," she said.

Starting Over Again is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
