Deniece Cornejo tweets: "Wait for the truth"

Deniece Cornejo hasn't really been absent from the social media despite her saying goodbye on Twitter on January 26, the day Vhong Navarro's tell-all interview was aired on Buzz Ng Bayan and she was named as one of the involved in the mauling of the comedian-TV host.

"I'm taking a break from the Internet. Getting some crazy death threats & stuffs. i deleted all of my tweets, and unfollow all of my friends," she posted on her Twitter account, @realdeniece.

On the same day, she followed up that supposed-to-be-last-tweet with another, saying: "Sick of all this bs. please people don't believe too much into the bulls#!t you see and read."

On January 27, she quoted the Bible with a verse from the book John that speaks about truth.

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free - John 8:32"

Cornejo, however, did not post anything on Jan. 28, the day Navarro formally filed legal charges against her, Cedrick Lee and six others who blindfolded and tied him up before mauling him inside Cornejo's condo unit in Taguig. The actor went to the condo because he and Cornejo agreed to meet there for their second date.

On Jan. 29, Cornejo filed a rape case against Navarro. According to her, Lee and his cohorts mauled Navarro because they caught him raping her. She also did not tweet anything that day.

She came back, though, on the 30th saying: "Wait for the truth."

The 22-year-old model is back on Instagram as well, where she expresses herself more regarding the legal charges she's facing.

After ten days of not posting anything on her account, @realdeniece, she came back on Jan. 30 with a picture message that says: "Kung ako instrumento upang maging ehemplo sa mga kababaihan na maging matatag sa naabuso, nasasaktan at nasasamantalahan. Paglalaban ko at paninindigan. - Deniece Cornejo"

She again posted a message on the 31st, talking about the law: "Sa larangan ng batas, walang sikat at mainpluwensya. Tayo ay pantay pantay lamang. - Deniece Cornejo"

Her last post was on Saturday, Feb. 1: "Under the eyes of the law: every person enjoys the presumption of innocence in the criminal case. An accused is presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law, therefore he/she should not be pre-judged. - Deniece Cornejo"

Cornejo is being bashed on the internet, especially because the CCTV videos provided by the condo to the NBI coincide with the statement of Navarro.

Navarro, meanwhile, is still recuperating in a hospital. He has undergone reconstructive surgery to fix the broken bridge of his nose. His manager, Chito Roño, however, said he's still traumatized by the incident and wants to be with friends and family all the time.
