Annabelle Rama loses in Cebu congressional bid

Despite the full-force campaign of her family and a lot of big-named celebrities, Annabelle Rama lost in her congressional bid in the first district of Cebu City.

As of Tuesday morning, she only had 31,217 votes based on the unofficial results from the Comelec Transparency Server, and that’s with 100% of election returns already processed.

During the campaign period, Annabelle’s husband Eddie Gutierrez and her celebrity kids Ruffa, Richard and Raymond were seen campaigning for her. Other celebrities who flew to Cebu to support her candidacy included Anne Curtis, the kid host Ryzza Mae Dizon, Pops Fernandez and Ogie Alcasid.

Aside from being the mother of the Gutierrez siblings and being the manager of some showbiz stars, former sexy star Annabelle is also known for controversial issues, among them involving word and legal wars against Wilma Galvante and Nadia Montenegro, and causing a scene at the wake of Comedy King Dolphy
